NRW is proud to be one of the leading civil and mining contractors in the Australian resources and infrastructure sectors. Our ongoing growth and success is a direct consequence of the commitment we make to our clients, our people, the communities in which we operate and our shareholders. Our flat management structure allows us to be proactive in managing major projects whilst maintaining the required flexibility to respond quickly to client needs.

Our people are the basis of our success and we invest heavily in their growth and development. Keeping them safe at all times is paramount to the foundations on which our business is built.

NRW has strong ties to the communities and the people in the remote regional areas in which we predominantly operate. Our Indigenous training program, Powerup; our Indigenous joint ventures; and our ongoing sponsorship of local organisations are just some examples of how we maintain these ties.

THE NRW DIFFERENCE

4

Page 5: NRW Holdings Capability Statement

This success continued with a mining services contract won at Kanowna Belle Gold Mine, closely followed by the award of a similar contract at Darlot Gold Mine.

In the years since, NRW has significantly expanded its service offerings and through our move to the Pilbara region in 1998, we now hold the enviable position as one of Australia’s leading providers of diversified services in the civil construction and mining industries.

Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2007, NRW’s current client list includes global resource giants BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto. Other key clients include Fortescue Metals Group and Bechtel.

NRW Holdings Limited’s subsidiary Action Mining Services was established in the early nineties and acquired by NRW in 2007. The Company offers a comprehensive refurbishment and rebuild service for earthmoving equipment and machinery, and also manufactures fully equipped mobile support vehicles from service modules to water tank modules and custom built equipment.

2007 also marked the first year NRW commenced international operations in Guinea (West Africa), for Rio Tinto’s Simandou Project.

In 2010 we expanded our civil contracting capability to include concrete installation, ensuring the continuation of the organic growth of the business.

To date, NRW has been awarded almost 100,000 cubic metres of concrete works, with the largest single contract being the Karara Iron Ore Project in the Mid-West for over 50,000 cubic metres.

Also in 2010, NRW established Action Drill & Blast to complement the Civil and Mining divisions and Action Mining Services. Action Drill & Blast provides drill and blast services to the NRW Group and also independently seeks contract opportunities direct to mining, civil and oil and gas companies throughout Australia and beyond.

NRW’s strategy of commodity and geographical diversification was realised in 2011 with the award of a five year coal mining contract in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. The purchase of assets for $84 million from Comiskey Earthmoving only months earlier yielded a substantial plant and tyre inventory which was primarily assigned to the Middlemount Project. The Comiskey deal also represented NRW’s most significant purchase to date.

In late 2012, NRW was awarded a substantial contract at the primarily Chevron owned, Wheatstone Project. This key milestone marked our first significant oil and gas project and saw us further achieve our goal of commodity diversification.

NRW will continue to utilise the diverse skills and experience of our management team and Board of Directors, to build upon strengths and continue to prove our value as a provider of quality services to the resources and infrastructure sectors.

NRW was established in 1994, with our first contract in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Starting out as a small, privately run civil constructing and general plant hire firm, NRW had a determined spirit and a long term vision, and soon became one of the leading tailings dam constructors in the region. We landed our first major coup in 1995 when we were awarded a five year contract for Westlime in Dongara, WA.
