NOYCE INTERNS AND SCHOLARS PROGRAMS for STEM majors NOYCE INTERNS The Noyce Intern Program is an opportunity to gain experience as teaching assistants and tutors for K-12 students during the summer months. Timothy Doughty, Ph.D. ~ [email protected] NOYCE UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP The Noyce Scholarship is available to UP rising Juniors and Seniors. Scholarships are granted each year to undergraduate students with a STEM major who are interested in pursuing a MAT at UP in preparation for a career as a K-12 STEM teacher. The scholarship is $10,000/year for the scholar’s junior and/or senior year. Stephanie Salomone, Ph.D. ~ [email protected] NOYCE AND UP’S MAT PROGRAM The University of Portland’s innovative ten- month MAT program prepares individuals for careers as licensed early childhood, elementary, middle and high school teachers.
