Term 4, Week 6
The weeks are flying by. We are at the end of Week Six
already and quickly zooming into Week Seven.
Testing is going along well across all classes allowing
the teachers to collect data for reporting. Don’t forget no children at school on Monday 18th
November.
Mrs Tanner is travelling along well and is hoping to pop
in later this week to catch up on a few jobs. While she
is away Deb Dowell, Cynthia McLaren and Dean
Dwyer are sharing her position. They are having time
out of class each afternoon. This is a busy time of year
and all three are eager to not miss any time with their
classes.
Parents and Friends met last Monday and had a very
positive discussion about the school and the support
they receive from all involved in the school, parents,
teachers, guardians, friends and local businesses.
Keep following Xuno and the school newsletter to
keep up to date with events and any changes that
may be occurring.
We are all looking forward to Tuesday 10th December
which is State-wide Transition Day and all children will
move into their prospective new classes for 2020.
Staffing teams are currently working on finalising grade
structures for 2020 to ensure the best learning opportu-
nities for your child/ren.
It would be greatly appreciated if we could be notified
if any families are not attending our school in 2020.

Foundation 1/2’s :
We had a fantastic time last Friday at the Lighthouse Theatre and
Lake Pertobe. The MSO performance was fun and inspiring and
the rain held off long enough for us to have a good play
afterwards. We had another successful transition visit with the
kinder children on Monday. This week we are beginning our test-
ing in the key learning areas in preparation for reports. Keep an
eye on the upcoming dates section of the newsletter to stay in-
formed about our important events.
Grade 3/4’s :
This week 3-4 students have been very busy completing end of
year assessments. We have been very pleased with the student’s
perseverance and ability to do their personal best. A reminder to
the 3-4 community that students are not required at school on
Monday 18th. Swimming continues, we thank you for making sure
your student is prepared each and every week. This week in
cooking, students have been making delicious sushi.
Grade 5/6’s :
It has been great to see how creative our kids can be! The Year 6
Talking Sticks are looking very impressive and the kids are having
a ball creating them. As it is report-writing time, our students have
been working rigorously on literacy and numeracy tests. Thanks to
the parents who have made themselves available for the Year 6
Luncheon, it is greatly appreciated and reflects what makes us
the school we are. Surfgroms is not on this week, however we will
return for the final session next week.
We have put a roster out for Term Four at the school office.
We need at least two helpers each Friday but
The more the merrier! The more people there is the quicker and easy it is!
We ask that parents that are volunteering to sign in at the school office and if
they have a working with children card to present it.
