Notes From Linda In January, we sailed away on Triumph Travel Club’s Panama Canal Cruise aboard Princess Cruises ~ Caribbean Princess. The group spent 12 glorious days basking in the warm Caribbean sunshine as we escaped winter. Our flight to Florida went smoothly, we boarded the ship with ease and were delighted as chocolate covered strawberries awaited us in our cabins. Aſter we sailed away from Ft. Lauderdale, we encountered rough seas. Sing poolside was extra lively as the rocking of the ship caused crashing waves in the ship’s pools. Within minutes, folks jumped in to enjoy the free wave pool. The passengers were polite, relaxed, and ready to have fun, which made for an exhilarang atmosphere. One evening, a small group of us stood in the theater, turned and waved unl the enre audience waved back. Everyone was there to have fun, even us. There were many varied acvies to do on ship, and each event was well aended. It was refreshing as the Princess staff and crew were helpful and genuinely happy to assist us. Unsure how they did it, but the acvity staff made a mega ship feel inmate! The talent and quality of the musical producons were exceponal, which only made it more difficult to find a seat in the theater. Everyone loved the various performers, but the comedian was especially funny. If you know Steve Lawrence or Jack Vrstal, be sure to ask how they became part of the show. The variety of quality shore excursions made it easy for guests to select the one best suited for them. Sun drenched beaches, old city tours, rainforest aerial trams, historic train rides, turtle farms, canal boat rides, there were plenty of excing opons to sasfy every personality. Nightly dinner conversaons involved the details of their last excing escapades. “As promised, I am sll traveling with the bank travel group! What a wonderful way to renew and make new friendships. Traveling with “the bank” (Linda) is the best way to get the most of an experience: surrounded by friends, best quality for the money, and worry free. Renee and Nancy are an asset to the office. This program is unique and a jewel even in the bank travel industry, and no wonder–it should be because of the experience, dedicaon and hard work that Linda, Nancy, and Renee put into it. Thank you.” ~ John & Deborah Holmes “This was my first long vacaon in 20 years . . . and it was more than I expected. The shows were very good. The tour guides on the excursions were knowledgeable and made the trips enjoyable. Geng to know people from our group and new people from the ship was easy. Everyone just wanted to have fun. The staff on the ship were great. If we could have only figured out the clues and got out of the Escape Room. It was a blast! Grand Cayman was my favorite part of the trip–turtles and sng rays were worth the whole trip. I am glad I chose Triumph Travel Club.” ~ Sue Cappella Spring 2018 Volume 22, Issue 2

Booking a Panama Canal cruise during the inaugural season, getting up early to watch as our vessel began its transit through the new locks, and capturing the unique experience with stunning photos, priceless. Fascinating how the quiet darkness focused our attention and held us in awe. Everyone was absorbed by the encounter as we watched the darkness surrender to the morning light (see the stunning photo on the front page).

Only one word can describe Triumph Travel Club’s Panama Canal cruise–SUPER! We are among the few people in the world who can boast that they watched the Super Bowl on a mega screen under the stars while on a cruise ship. Plus, we had nearly perfect conditions to view the rare Super Blue Blood Moon on January 31st while sailing in the Caribbean. Finally, being a part of the fun loving community of travelers, as we explore the world together was...super wonderful.

We invite you to be part of our travel community. Join us on a day trip, extended tour, or get inspired with our Hawaii - Spirit of Aloha, 3-island vacation next year.

“I am so glad you encouraged us to do the excursion with the dolphins and stingrays. I didn’t even know this was on my buck list. Really enjoyed all the tours, but that was an awesome experience. Second

the Embera Indians of Panama followed closely by Costa Rica’s plants and animals. Time aboard ship was a mixture of fun and relaxation. First time in the Caribbean and would go again. Love that blue water! Ship service was stellar. Panama Canal: What a treat to go through the new locks realizing the great sacrifice put into accomplishing this “wonder of the world.”
