NORTHIAM NEWSROUND NEWSLETTER NO.8 FELLOWSHIP TRUST RESPECT COMPASSION 25th October 2019 Many thanks to the Friends of Northiam for the fantasc disco which raised an amazing £97! A special thanks to Leanna Ross for her Maleficent skills in leading this event and thank you to all the parents who helped make this event extra spooky on the day! Many thanks to Moloney and Partners for supporng our Open Day on the 15th November by pung the boards up all round the village. Their support ensures that everyone in the village and surrounding areas are aware of the date for our fantasc Open Day. Thank you! This year we are asking parents for donaons so we can hold a cake sale at break me on the Children in Need day on the 15th November. The stall will be run by Eva, Maddison, Evie and Loe so please support the girls and Children in Need. Many thanks. An Bullying week—The school is taking part in An bullying Week. This takes place the second week back aſter half term. As part of this special week the school will be taking part in ODD SOCK DAY on the 12th of November. This is when all staff and children wear Odd socks to show its ok to be different. During the week we will be looking at Bullying in our assemblies and in class help- ing the children to understand bullying and techniques for overcoming any issues. Recepon places for Sept 2020 Do you have a child starng school in 2020? You can now apply online for your child’s place in September 2020. The deadline is the 15th of January. Why not come to our open day on the 15th of November and see our Friday Focus Wider Curriculum aſternoon in acon to see what the school can offer your child. The open day starts at 1.15 pm looking forward to seeing some new (lile) faces! Yr 6—Secondary Schools Places for Sept 2020 The closing date for secondary schools applicaons is THURSDAY 31st OCTOBER. Please ensure your have completed your online submission by the end of the 31st October. We do have a number of parents who sll have not made their choice. If you are having any issues please contact the office as we might be able to help. LAST FEW WEEKS FOR ALDI STICKERS!! Please add them to our scker chart outside the sports hall! It’s the last few weeks and we sll have some spaces on our wall. Please keep bringing the sckers in for the school to be in with a chance to win £20,000! Water Boles –The school have purchased every child in the school a water bole. These will be in class throughout the day and used during PE or school based acvies. The boles will be washed regularly by the TA’s and each bole is labelled with every child’s name. At lunch we have a water cooler where children can help themselves to water. Therefore the children will no longer need to bring a water bole from home with them to school. Chartwells are removing baguees as an opon on ParentPay menu choices from next term. If you child would like a baguee please contact the office to order one on the morning of the day you would like one. School Trips and Forest school will not be affected. Please note on the 14th November we are having special menu to cele- brate bonfire night which will be different from ParentPay, The menu is Sausages with Jacket Wedges and Scky Toffee pudding! Kestrel Gym are starng next term on Thursdays. Please can you ensure all forms and money is returned before the club begins on the Thursday 7th of November. Many thanks to the Friends of Northiam for the fantastic disco which raised an amazing £97! A special thanks to

writing. This earned them the Head Teachers award this week.

OAK CLASS NEWS:

Congratulations to Sydney for neat purple polishing and to Hudson for working

hard on his writing. Well done on earning the Head Teachers Award this week.

Congratulations to Lenny and Alfie-Lee for good math’s and to Terence for his
