Group assignment: A comparative in-depth study0 A comparative in-depth study of four of the pre-task

statements/questions. -> One theme/question is given to each group for further scrutiny:

0 Group 1. Current state of energy production and usage, sources, domestic production.

0 Group 2. Renewable energy sources, availability, current usage and future prospects.

0 Group 3. Use of energy, past, present and foreseeable future.

0 Group 4. What will be the main sources in the next decades?

Group assignment with a Scandinavian and a Baltic point of view

0Each group dwell on one of the above mentioned statements/questions from both a Scandinavian and a Baltic point of view (as a whole).

0As comparison, the students study (=gather information) and add a Norwegian, Danish, Lithuanian and a Latvian perspective to their final presentation on Friday.

Timetable for group work0 Monday, April 22.0 08;30-9;30 First session, introduction. Students form their work groups. A new

group work assignment given to students. Presentation of pre-tasks + discussion.

0 Wednesday, April 24.0 08;30-10;50 Working groups in session. Presentation of pre-tasks + discussion

continues in separate groups (in separate class rooms) if not completed on Monday.

0 Thursday, April 25.0 08;30-12;00 Working groups in session. Group work assignment continues.0 13;00-17;00 Working groups in session. Group work assignment finalized.

0 Friday, April 26.0 14;30-17;00 Working groups present their reports. 15-20 minutes per group +

discussion. All the groups join together when the groups present their reports.

Report 1: A Daily travel diary - impressions and reflections

0 - 1 page/ day. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

0 - Pictures can be included, but the text content still has to be 1 page/day.

0 - Reflect on your every day life during the trip. What did you learn and experience during the stay? (The energy issues will be discussed in the scientific report.)

Report 1: A Daily travel diary - impressions and reflections

Report 2: A scientific report on the energy issues encountered during the excursions and the group work.

0 - 1 page/ day. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

0 - Pictures can be included, but the text content still has to be 1 page/day.

0 - Reflect on the excursions and group work during the visit. Write down what you experienced; you can also include hard facts.
