Themes 2016

Banks role in sharing economy Sharing instead of owning is becoming more and more

common – cars, homes, durable goods. What roles could banks play in the sharing networks? Where can

banks add value to these networks?

Emerging Technologies e.g. cognitive computing, artificial intelligence

or Blockchain technology – how can it improve the ways we serve our customers’ needs.

Digital Life and Pension For most people life insurance and pension is simply boring, high on

complexity and low on interest. We want to change that. How does the future of life insurance and

pension look like? How can we use technology to make it more relevant and easier to relate to?

Themes 2016 … continued

Compliance and changes in regulation Customers should always be able to get the services most

suitable for them. Trust and security is a must. The authorities are speeding up the development through

regulations for the benefit of customers, e.g. Payment Service Directive 2 or Know Your Customer. How can

banks turn these demands into benefits and value for customers?

Banks as collaboration enablers New business partnerships and ecosystems should be able to emerge and

dissolve effortlessly. Partnerships can emerge between businesses, business and consumers but also between

consumers. Trust is a cornerstone of any partnership. Today forming value adding partnerships can take long time

because of lack of trust leading to heavy due diligence process. Opportunities are lost because of lack of platform for

collaboration. What kind of collaborative ecosystems can banks offer with their extensive network, market insight and

role as authentication and compliance provider?

Surprise us What have we not thought of yet? Something that our customers would appreciate.
