If the construction schedule holds, we hope to be doing the landscaping on October 24. For those of you who like to play in the dirt, here’s your chance to have some fun and do something kind for someone else at the same time. Children, youth, and adults will gather for fellowship and good food and then the children will go visit their classrooms and teachers (thanks to everyone who will be teaching Sunday School this year!). Please bring a brunch-type goodie to share. Juice and coffee will be provided. Be sure to put your name in the treasure box for a chance to win a box of doughnuts for your Sunday school class. Youth NewsThis summer, 25 youth and 6 adults from TAPC spent well over 700 hours building porches and wheel chair ramps, cleaning and painting homes, preparing and serving food, sorting clothing and tools, visiting and praying with strangers, and sharing God’s love with children. For the third consecutive summer, TAPC’s commitment to youth ministry enabled the church to pay 50) of each youth’s registration fee. We rented three vans and worked with over 75 borrowed tools. The mission trip participants practiced putting on Christ every day because of the generosity of TAPC! Thank you!!

If you feel called to work with youth in any capacity, contact Nathan Peifer at the church or via e"mail %[email protected]&

Treasure HuntJesus often equated the kingdom to a treasure, but in

recent months, I’ve seen a number of different articles filled with statistics that seem to proclaim that the church has lost its reason for being. Is that true or do we have a compelling treasure to share with the world?

Beginning August 30th (Open House), TAPC will be seeking and finding some of the treasures. You’ll soon be hearing and reading about the treasures that many of our members have found in their lives.

Until then be thinking about the treasure of the Church. Think about what you treasure in your own life and what you do with that treasure. Do you share it? Invest it? Hide it?

Peace, Donovan
