Every continent was once a volcano Just like every great advertiser was once a student.

Unless a volcano erupts, its true potential is never known.

Me!

A retired set designer who was near the university asked for a BYU team to create a Doritos commercial featuring his miniature horse to be entered into the Super Bowl competition. I was asked to be on the team with seven other creatives. We had four weeks to concept, storyboard, and shoot the commercial before submissions were due. We brought in a film team to shoot the commercial and were given funds to produce the spot.

As I wanted to enter into L’oreal’s Brandstorm competition I recruited two extremely talented guys to work with. We were given the challenge to look at the current market, identify our target market, and then cater an in-store and online experience for the Kiehl’s men’s skincare line. We realized that men are wary of entering a store that initially looks to be female exclusive. We created “The Men’s Door;” an inviting and alluring entrance to the store that would not only attract men but encourage them to come into the store. We tied the in-store experience with the online site in order to create a cohesive experience and make men feel more comfortable on the website. Lastly, we pitched our ideas to L’oreal to win the campus finals. Currently we are preparing for the national finals and creating a new product line for Kiehl’s.

I got friendly with millennials

Vittana is a non-profit organization that allows users to lend money to students in developing countries. They asked our research class at BYU to conduct research on millennials’ donation attitudes and habits.

Page 19: Noelle Foutz Portfolio

I was part of a research team of four who were in charge of exploring who the millennials are, why they donate, and what convinces them to donate. We also looked into what millennials look for in a non-profit organization and how to reach them. We conducted secondary research and synthesized it into an easy-to-read format.

801 Racing is fairly new in the market specializing in oil and fuel additives. As a speck project in a media buying class, our assignment was to pick seven locations to hold a promotional event we concepted in order to create more awareness and drive traffic to the brand. We also made media buying decisions with a budget. I personally researched our target market, picked the DMA’s, and helped create the media flowchart.
