No. XXIII. An Act to appropriate and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales certain Sums to make good the Supplies granted for the Service of the year from the 1st day of July, 1895, to the 30th day of June, 1896, inclusive of both dates, and for the period from the 1st day of January to the 80th day of June, 1895, inclusive of both dates, and for previous Years; and for purposes connected with and incidental to the above objects, [23rd December, 1895.] W HEREAS we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, have granted to Your Majesty the several sums hereinafter mentioned for the service of the year from the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-live, to the thirtieth day of June of the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six (inclusive of both dates), and for supplementing the grants made by the last Parliament, in its Pirst Session, for the service of the period from the first day of January to the thirtieth day of June, of the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five (inclusive of both dates), and for previous years : And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Pund of New South Wales the several sums granted to Your Majesty as aforesaid : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, that out of the said Consolidated Revenue Pund there shall be further appropriated, and are hereby appropriated, and shall be issued and applied for or towards the several uses and purposes hereafter expressed. X I I I . The Treasurer of the said Colony shall issue and pay the said several sums to such persons for the purposes hereinbefore men­tioned in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct, and the payments so to he made shall he charged upon and payable out of the Consoli­dated llevenue Eund of the said Colouy.

XIV. The said Treasurer shall in his Accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such warrant or order in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the said Treasurer in passing his said Accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.

XV. This Act may be cited as the "Appropriation Act of 1895-6."
