Being a gearless drive, theThyssen Mini gearless®

functions without lubricants: No gear mechanisms, no oilrefills, no oil spills, no compli-cated shaft-cleaning, no old oilto be disposed of. The sameapplies to the frequency-con-trolled door drive. With this theoption of using a roller guideshoe, Evolution® becomes anoil-free elevator.

Another major advantage is thelow main voltage required torun Evolution® which not onlyhelps you save energy butmakes Evolution® the perfectelevator for weak power net-works.

No Machine Room – Many Advantages. Due to the compact size ofThyssen Mini gearless® whichhas been reduced to an abso-lute minimum, your shaft headoffers enough space to accom-modate both drive and control.Check-ups and adjustmentscan easily be carried out from aspecially integrated platformwithin the shaft. Only the topstop cannot be used while suchwork is being performed. Thisunique benefit ensures thatpassages are not obstructed byservice men at work, so theEvolution® is practically alwaysavailable. This makes it a highlyefficient and very reliable eleva-tor.

Our Thyssen Mini gearless®

drive. Small, strong, andmaintenance-free.The heart of our new Evolution®

is the brand-new high-perfor-mance gearless drive ThyssenMini gearless® with its perma-nent magnet synchronous technology. This latest develop-ment, maintenance-free anddriven by frequency-controlledthree-phase current, is anotherlandmark building on our Com-pact gearless® series. With aspeed of up to 1.6 m/s, this drive system can connect up to16 floors with high-performancetransportation.

In Evolution®, we have reducedthe number of mechanicalparts to a minimum, makingyour ride even more comfor-table: Vibration and noise arenegligible, whereas the lifespan increases considerably.

Evolution® can be installed inany type of building. Not only isthe area of commercial spaceincreased considerably, but Evolution® also helps to saveyour money: it is reasonable inprice and extremely economicalin installation and operation.

Pass with Distinction.Our Evolution® family is basedon a perfect overall conceptplus a consistent systems tech-nology. Since all components ofthe elevator are manufacturedin our own factories, they areperfectly matched to one ano-ther. Control Panel. Via the control panel at the toplanding, your technician canoperate the maintenance plat-form, trigger the evacuationprocess in emergencies, andperform a diagnostic check onthe control panel.

Rope Fastenings.The rope terminations are attached and isolated to themachine frame. The machineframe itself is mounted inrecesses in the shaft walls.

Safety Gear TCS.Our safety gear is the mostmodern and a safe guide railsystem with outstanding vibrati-on insulation. A precision overload recognition system isemployeed.

S8/K8 Doors.Our quality S8/K8 doors are lateststate-of-the-art technology.They are the best choice when itcomes to smooth running andhigh performance.

Drive.The centre piece of Evolution®,our brand-new Thyssen Minigearless® drive is suspendedin the machine frame and isvibration-insulated.

Overspeed Governor. The overspeed governor moni-tors the speed and triggers thesafety gear if necessary, thisis also installed in the machineframe.

Maintenance Platform.The maintenance platform, attachedto the control cabinet and locatedat the top stop in the shaft, is lowe-red via a button on the operatingpanel. During service checks bymaintenance staff the elevator staysin operation and passages in hall-ways are free of any obstructions.

Pulleys 2:1.With the pulleys located on topof the elevator car, we imple-ment a 2:1 suspension. Theyare guarded to protect themaintenance worker.
