MAGIC SHOWat Park La Brea
Free Show & Refreshments
Saturday, June 15th at 2:00 PMPark La Brea Theater at the Activity Center
Alfonso, of the Magic Castle returns to Park La Brea for the fifth time to perform his unique act for our amusement and wonder. Because he is a magician’s magician, he is able to bewilder the keenest observers and entertain audiences from ages 3 to 103 with good clean fun for the entire family. The audience will be entertained with an exceptional variety of magic tricks. Minds will be read and personal objects will disappear and reappear in unusual places. This will create a fun filled atmosphere with plenty of audience participation, all performed in good taste and guaranteed to tickle the funny bone.
Alfonso will start with a stage show for the entire audience. After that Alfonso will mingle during the after show refreshments performing
some great close up sleight of hand magic using objects you might have on your person such as coins, paper money, rings, pens or anything else that might be around such as napkins, glasses, plates etc. This magic takes place right under your nose and in your hands, creating awe and excitement.
After the stage show join us for Ice Cream Sundaes and Cookies. Both the Show and Refreshments are FREE to Park La Brea residents and their guests. Seating is First-Come, First-Serve. Arriving early is highly recommended as seating is limited. For more information contact the PLBRA Office Tel: (323) 934-1177 or E-mail: [email protected].

PLB Management / PLBRAMeeting Notes
• Elevator Problems
PLB Management has hired an Elevator Consultant to evaluate both thepresent operability of all tower elevators and the quality of the contractmaintenance service they are presently receiving. PLB Management has asked for resident assistance in two areas with regard to maintenance of elevator service:
a. Residents should report “Changes in Elevator Conditions” to PLB Management.
Emergency – Patrol (323) 549-5508
Routine – Service (323) 549-5599 E-mail: [email protected]
b. Tower Basement Doors must be kept closed at all times. Strong wind can effect proper elevator operations.
• Smoke Free Housing
PLB Management would like to explore the possibility of creating Smoke Free Housing Areas within Park La Brea. PLBRA will assist PLB Management in conducting a resident smoking survey in the near future as a first step in this process.
• Lack of Responsiveness at the Patrol Office
PLB Management reports that a more sophisticated Telephone System can be installed at the Patrol Office to minimize this problem. The PLB IT Department is presently working on this project.
• ABLE Building Maintenance
PLB Management reports that all Service Technicians will have the required skills necessary to perform their assigned duties. Furthermore, service personnel will have necessary tools and common repair parts in their possession upon their first visit to a residents unit. The goal will be “One Time Service” per work order.
