The NITCO Group came into existence in the year 1956 withthe formation of partnership firm at Delhi under the name of

The Northern India Tiles Corporation [Delhis] formanufacturing mosaic tiles.

The partners of this firm were Mr. A.N. Talwar [HUFs], Mr. P.N.Talwar & Mr. W. N. Talwar.

Company was converted into a public limited company with

effect from January 25, 1996. In 1984, it started its operation at Kanjurmarg, Mumbai for

processing & distribution of imported marble in India.

Growing further, in 1995, it began the implementation ofgreen field project for manufacture of ceramic floor tiles at

Alibaug, Maharashtra & started the commercial production ofceramic tiles in 1997.

In 2002, it started one more marble processing unit atSlivassa.

In 2004, it scaled up operations of outsourcing vitrified tilesfrom China. Currently, our product portfolio comprises ofceramic tiles, vitrified/wall tiles, cement terrazzo tiles, pavers

and marbles etc. 2006 -Nitco Tiles enters into CMA with Foshan Lungo

Ceramics

2008 - Comp. name has been changed from Nitco Tiles Ltdto Nitco Ltd.

Mr. Pran Nath Talwar is the Non-ExecutiveChairman of the Board of Nitco Limited.

Mr. Alok Goel has been appointed as ChiefExecutive Officer of Nitco Ltd

Ceramic comes from the Greek term Keramos,meaning "a potter" or "pottery.

Since the infancy of ceramics, up to this very day, theprocess is still very much the same; for the creation

of all ceramic materials, one needs to bake a mixtureof clays at a very high temperature.

A ceramic tile, therefore, is the resulting product,after a mixture of clays have been treatedappropriately, pressed, fired at a high temperatureand cut to size. A ceramic tile consists of two parts:the body, which is called the bisque and thesurface, which is called the glaze.

Vitrified tiles are non-glazed tiles. Their hardnessand polish is achieved by virtue of the pressingtogether of very hard materials.

Vitrified tiles are extremely strong and durable and

processed in such a way that they allow for very littlewater absorption. Vitrified tiles have a waterabsorption of < 0.1%.

Vitrified tiles allow for a full body tile, which meansthat the design is not merely on the surface of the

tile, but runs throughout the entire tile. Theadvantage of this is that the tiles become incrediblystrong.

Mosaico is the art of creating images with anassemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone,or other materials.

Mosaics by Nitco normally use three materials;marble, stone and Ceramic/Vitrified tile pieces.

Mosaico manufacturing line, based at Kanjur Marg inMumbai works hard every day to create the finest

mosaic designs conceivable.

Very special about mosaico facility, is that thecustomers are able to chose their own designs, nomatter how large or complicated these may be.

Shall ensure strict compliance of the prescribed safety &environment related norms and other applicable codes,laws, rules, regulations and statutes, which if not compliedwith may, otherwise, disqualify him/ her from his/ herassociation with the Company.

Shall ensure strict compliance with SEBI (Prohibition ofInsider Trading) Regulations, 1992 as also otherregulations as may become applicable to them from timeto time.

Nitco's widespread network includes 18depots, 750 direct dealers and over 5000 subdealers spread across the country.

Apart from a closely interlinked network, thecompany also has 4 factories and variousoffices in India, with its headquarters locatedin Mumbai.
