Frame 1The first shot is a close up of a child's jewellery box . This shot is taken from an angle and there is a slow zoom into the box as the sequence begins. This shot is classified as a close up as the jewellery box takes up most of the frame. We chose to use this shot to engage the audiences attention as they can immediately identify the object to try to figure out the theme of the film. Our main prop , the toy doll , slowly passes the mirror , we had chosen to do this to set an unsettled atmosphere .We thought the use of the jewellery box would help to establish the theme of our sequence , the theme childhood.

Frame 2Following the jewellery box , we used a panning shot to establish one of the locations we had used.We chose to use a bedroom , purposely placing the doll on the chair and having nothing else in the bedroom to create a lonely unchildlike atmosphere.we had used this shot to emphasise the childs room room being quite spacious and empty .

Frame 3 This shot then follows the child's bedroom shot. We had purposely placed a more random shot after the bedroom shot to confuse the audience. We chose to use an over the shoulder shot as we did not want to show the characters face or reveal a story that early into the sequence. The young girl is picking petals off the rose in memory of her mother who had died when the girl was only 9 .

Frame 4 There is a change of setting as the storyline evolves . This is a long shot . We decided to take a long shot as the girl runs into the forest so the audience could establish the surroundings and have some knowledge of where the girl is .

Frame 5 This is an over the shoulder shot. We had chosen to use this shot as we wanted to keep the characters identity a secret for the first half of the sequence. The girl is vigoursly cutting her hair as she is going crazy , since her mothers death she feels she is left alone and believes the only way she can go on in life is to rebel against everything her mother has read to her .This goes against the Rapunzel story.

Frame 6 This is a close up . The girl is ripping up the fairytales book her mother use to read her . The fairytales , little red riding hood in particular, have got to her and she feels she needs to do everything she can to ruin the lives of other children and their loved ones.

Frame 7 This is a close up . We have chosen to use old photographs to give a hint to the audience , family has something to do with the young girls illness. The photograph of scarlet and her mother has fallen down as we are hinting the mother plays an important role in the sequence.

Frame 8 This is a close up. Nearer to the end of our sequence, we begin to reveal the identity of the girl. Blood drips out the apple as scarlet bites into it to add a gory atmosphere to the sequence. This was done to indicate something is definitely wrong , unveiling the characters identity slowly .

Frame 9 We have used an upwards panning shot to emphasise the blood running down the girls clothing . This shot is used nearer the end of the sequence as we placed a reversed shot on the blood. We had done this to build up further tension , using a well known horror soundtrack along with this shot to grab the audiences attention , keeping them on the edge of their seat!
