Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)Performance Based Logistics (PBL) is Sperry Marine’s approach to meeting our military customer’s life cycle maintenance requirements. Our new customer-designed life cycle service is for all classes of Navy ships and commercial vessels. A PBL package can be specifically designed to take a ship from the drawing board through disposal. PBL, with 24/7 supply support and repair team operation, is the smart choice that reduces costs and downtime while providing unprecedented material availability to all the ship’s systems.

ILS promises to deliver cost effective customer support.

An ILS program includes the necessary equipment to perform defined functions and the logistic elements required for maintenance of system equipment.

Performance Based Logistics (PBL) programs are significantly improving material availability while reducing total ownership cost for our customers. Sperry Marine has a proven track record in PBL support. Sperry Marine ILS programs result in significant cost reduction, greater efficiency and increased reliability for our customers.

Sperry Marine ServiceNet Training ProgramsTraining is a key element in Sperry Marine’s ServiceNet concept. A continuous training program for bridge officers enhances navigation safety and operational efficiency.

Maintenance training of ship’s crew or shore staff reduces the need for service calls and provides for emergency repairs onboard. Sperry Marine offers a broad range of training programs for bridge officers and electronics maintenance officers including classroom instruction, onboard hands-on training, and computer-based self- instruction.

Sperry Marine training centers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, are equipped with full integrated bridge system and machinery control system simulators and networked classrooms with individual computer workstations. The ECDIS training curriculum, which is taught by certified instructors, follows IMO Model Course 127 and is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. STWC-95 certificates of achievement are issued to participants upon completion.

Interactive Courseware (ICW)Sperry Marine Interactive Courseware (ICW) is a fully developed system of computer-based training that provides an effective approach to today’s training needs. The benefits of computer-based training — self-paced instruction enhancing comprehension, instant availability at any location having a computer, and reduced life-cycle cost in comparison with formal classroom training — are all present in the ICW.
