Gender orientation/identity is an uncomfortable topic but that's all the more reason to attend our program on Nov. 5. As adults we need to be able to learn some facts together so our children feel comfortable reaching out to us when they

have questions. It doesn't even matter what your child's gender orientation is, chances are he/she will interact with individuals who are different than him/her. Susan Garner and Catherine Hyde from Howard County PFLAG will share research and information on how to start discussions within your children. Please join us on November 5 @ 7:00 in the FQMS Cafeteria for "Powerful Parenting: Protecting our Children from Harm." (Note: This program is for parents.) Providing a speaker during 6th Grade Outdoor Ed and funds for Latino Night are two examples of your donations to Folly Quarter PTA in action! If you haven't supported our No Hassle Fundraiser, it's not too late! Visit www.follyquarterpta.org to make an on-line donation or send your donation to school marked PTA. Please complete the training and submit your printed certificate of completion to the school before volunteering. Thank you!
