• Key is a busy, exciting, and wonderful place for kids….

School Day• Starts at 9:00 am• 2 hours 10 min in
English • 2 hours 10 min in
Spanish• Lunch is 20 minutes• Recess is 30
minutes• Dismissal is at
3:41pm everyday
• Spanish - math and science & language arts
• Science in Spanish 2-3x/week
• English - social studies and language arts and health

• Walk to School • Never walk alone• Always walk with
an adult or older student
• Ideally all children ride the buses

numbered - each number is also a color… Bus #270 is Red Bus, Bus #293 is is Gold Bus, etc.

SIGN Children OUT
• When and if you pick up your child you MUST sign the child out
• Never pick up some one else’s children… the parents must let the office and teachers know that you are doing so

Identify all items
• Write names on all clothing, items brought to school
• Do not send toys or anything that is valuable.
• Never send any weapon or look alike weapon to school

• Escriba los nombres en toda la ropa or cosas que traigan a la escuela.
• No manden ningun juguete ni nada a la escuela de valor
• Nunca deben mandar una arma, ni un juguete que parece una arma.
Reading / Writing
• Read to or with your child K-3 every night - a minimum of 20 minutes per night
• Be sure they can write their full names(K &1)
• Be sure they know your names and phone numbers
Leer y Escribir• Lee con o a su hijo
(kinder a 3ro) 20 minutos cada noche. Lee en español!
• Estén seguros que sepan sus nombres y apellidos y que puedan escribirlos. Deben saber sus direcciónes, y números de teléfono
Know the School
• This summer - visit the school
• Have your child learn where the library, cafeteria, art room, music room, computer room and gym are.
