Making Day
The rain today made the ground nice and soft for the gardening group. The rain eased just in time to go outside. The students
planted bulbs which had been donated by a community member. This will add some colour to our school grounds come spring.
In Cooking the students made coconut cookies and talked about the technique of mixing. A big focus was on teamwork and help-
ing others.
The making group did some sewing, drilling and decorating of old CDs for a new project.
Making Day
TOMORROW - Time: 9:15am - 2:30pm - Year 3-6
Tomorrow Year 3 to 6 students will be a part of the combined school’s athletic carnival at the Les Peart Oval in Mt
Beauty. Primary school students from Dederang to Falls Creek will enjoy a day of activity where the emphasis is
more on participation than competition. All students in years 3 to 6 will be competing within their house teams.
Arrangements for transport will be exactly the same as for the swimming sports earlier this term: bus students can stay on the buses until they arrive at Mt Beauty where they will be met by a teacher. All other students need to be taken by parents directly to the oval. Children not picked up by parents by 3pm will be brought back to Tawonga on the school buses, arriving about 3:40pm and then placed into OSHC. Children are asked to dress in house colours, as this adds to the fun and the atmosphere on the day.
All students will need a hat, lunch, a water bottle, suitable shoes and a jumper in case it’s cool. The day is likely to finish early. Pick up by parents will be permitted at the conclusion of the sports. Parents and carers are most welcome to come along on the day to cheer and support students.
If any parents or carers are available to help time keep, marshal, record or run an event on the day, please
let us know. These events run more smoothly will the extra assistance from parents.
EASTER RAFFLE
Please ensure that all donations are handed into the office by next Thursday. Tickets
and money are also due on this date.
Raffle will be drawn on Friday at assembly.
TUPPERWARE LUNCHBOX DRIVE
Dear Parents/Carers
Please ensure orders are given to Lisa in the office by Thursday next week. Additional or-
der forms and books are available from the office.
Tupperware samples are also available to view at the office.

Big Write Yr 2-6
This Weeks Big Write Topic Computer Games - Are they a waste of time? By Jade Bower
I strongly believe that computer games are not a waste of time.
Firstly computer games are not a waste of time because there are a variety of games to play so you don’t have to play the same
thing everyday.
Secondly computer games are not a waste of time because they are educational. Computer games can be about maths, spelling
or typing so you can get good grades in your subjects.
Thirdly computer games are not a waste of time because you can earn money. If you send one of your video game clips to
YouTube you can earn money if people like it a lot.
In other words computer games are helpful, educational and fun and it can get you earning money. They can be calm, fun,
hilarious, skilful and virtual reality games are just as fun as normal games.
