School Council Update

The School Council would like to advise that Camp Australia will continue to provide OSHC

for before and after care at KPS for a further 12 months. This will then complete the

contractual terms we have with Camp Australia. Toward the conclusion of this contract we

will be seeking tenders for potential new service providers. So that we can assess the

quality of the care being provided by Camp Australia we urge all users of the service to

log any issues/concerns or positive feedback through the Camp Australia portal. This way

we will have visibility on how Camp is performing.

Should you have any queries please direct them to:

[email protected]

Wishing the entire school community a safe T2 holiday.

KPS TV

We are excited to announce the launch of KPS TV! The Performing

Arts captain, L J has taken the initiative to start this new and exciting

TV show. KPS TV is live and streamed every Tuesday during lunch

eating time. Students have the opportunity to showcase their

amazing work that they have been completing throughout the week,

listen to interesting interviews from different staff members as well

as the chance to write a letter or draw a picture to post in the letterbox to feature on

KPS TV.

Well done to L J for hosting KPS TV the past two weeks. Thank you to all of the

students and staff at KPS for getting involved, giving feedback and watching this

exciting chapter unfold.

In Japanese…

“On Tuesday, 5B made gyozas (Japanese dumplings) because we had filled up the sticker

chart and choose cooking for our reward. We made the dumplings by combining the

chopped spring onions, cabbages, soy sauce, minced beef and seasoning. We then placed

the mixture on the dumpling skin and folded them in several different ways. The dumplings

tasted great and it was so much fun to make them.” – Ellie

So these are the last of the Term 2 Superstar “look what I can do” group. These amazing

students have done so much of the work by themselves – I love their enthusiasm, persistence,

patience and creativity.

As mentioned in the last newsletter I am going to attempt to teach some students – grade 2

and up how to knit. If anyone has wool that they are not going to use (just basic wool please -

nothing fancy) OR knitting needles suitable for children to use (not circular) OR stuffing/

hobbyfill for knitted toys and you are willing to donate them please leave them in my room in

the BER for next term. Also if anyone has appropriate sewing material for children to use:

things that don’t fray easily, about A4 size or bigger, suitable for hand-sewing; and you

would like to donate they would also be appreciated.
