People Planet Products On June 28, 2014, Monliz held an event at its facilities in order to celebrate the first Monliz Farmer Day and also to formally make the inauguration of the 2nd Line of Production and of the 2nd Coldstore. This day is an important milestone and highlights the Monliz in the world of Agribusiness in Portugal. To the strong shareholder investment in the productive capacity of Monliz, we must correspond with volume processed. To make this possible it is necessary to count on a very broad and loyal base of producers to ensure the supply in quantity and quality according to our needs. I think this initiative brings us to our objective and for sure we could present to the hundreds of farmers who visited our factory an indelible mark on the quality of our team. To everyone who were directly and indirectly involved in organizing the Monliz Farmer Day, thank you very much. Mauro Cardoso Participants E xhibitors Program On this day various personalities were invited to be present, including political figures of the national and local scene, the Fire Department, the Republican National Guard, Social Media and Communication, Farmers and Producer Organizations and Companies of the sector to participate and expose their services / products. In total attended by over 550 people, who came from all over Portugal and Spain. Various exhibitors were present in several stands, representing the leading companies involved in Horto-Industrial sector (houses of seeds, plant protection products companies, factors of production companies, etc.), such as: Bayer/Nunhems, Syngenta, Monsanto/Seminis, Selectis, Semillas Fitó, Ramiro Arnedo, Aquagri, Lusosem, Triplanta, Brásplanta, Germiplanta, Campoeste, Agromais Plus, Hubel Verde, Deiba, ADP, J.O. Branha, J.M. Cordeiro, SAKATA, BASF and Silvex. In the morning were formally inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Agriculture, José Diogo Albuquerque and by the Mayor of Alpiarça, Mario Pereira, the 2nd Line of Production and the 2nd Coldstore, an investment of 18 million Euro. During the day were arranged guided tours to the factory, some premiums were delivered to farmers in several categories, and there were fun activities and feeding spaces, which included products manufactured in our company.
