A warm welcome back to all students, staff and parents for the last term of the year! I trust everyone has had a
restful break and managed to shake off the persistent coughs and colds from last term.
As always, we have another very busy term ahead so please continue to scan the newsletters each week to keep
abreast of the upcoming events. I hope you already have Friday 24th
October in the calendar for our upcoming
school concert – You will certainly hear a lot more about our whole school concert in the coming weeks; in
particular watch out for details regarding ticketing and costumes.
HOLIDAYWORKS- A number of improvements were made to the grounds over the holiday break. At
the Eastern end of the school large trees were removed as they had developed varying degrees ofdisease and had potential of dropping limbs. A full Arborist report has been completed for the schoolguided by School Council. All other trees have been deemed safe and some further trimming willcomplete the staged response to managing the vegetation on school land. The Grounds committee are in the process of planning paths at the southern end of the school in thevicinity of the Senior Learning Centre. Planning is also underway how to best utilise our shared ovalwith the Shire for fitness stations, soccer goals and AFL goal posts.
Compulsory HatsFrom the start of next term we will return to the wearing of a school approved hat. Our hat
is green in colour and is designed to promote the protection of the neck and
ears as well as the face. Compulsory hats are a School Council Policy,
which will be strictly enforced.
Children who don’t wear an approved hat will be required to stay in a
sheltered area during school recess times. NO BASEBALL HAT IS OR WILL BE
APPROVED. School hats with our school logo can be purchased from Beleza Uniform Shop
in Rosebud.
