There is something different to do every day and the favourites so far seem to be our Baking Club on a Wednesday and the Movie Club every Thursday. Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all keeping well, we are

delighted to say that everyone seems to be

enjoying the daily clubs that we are running

from 2.30 – 3.30pm in the lounges. There is

something different to do every day and the

favourites so far seem to be our Baking Club

afternoon of singing and musical

entertainment from Gerry. He also spent

some time playing the piano for everyone

and taking requests for songs. A great

afternoon had by all.

Razamatazz

Pictured above are residents Jean E &

Michael P having a chat with Carolyn from

Razamatazz and her puppet friend in

Bluebell lounge. Carolyn kept everyone

entertained with her singing and puppet

show. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Frank Taylor

In February we had a lovely visit from Frank

Taylor. Frank played his keyboard for us and

also entertained everyone with by playing the

garden hose pipe much to everyone

amusement!

A Very Special Birthday

In April we celebrated a very special birthday

for Jack P. You would never believe it but

Jack turned an amazing 101 years young on

the 7th April. He celebrated with cards and

presents from his family and a lovely

chocolate cake brought in by his son for him,

he had a lovely day!

Daily Clubs We have been having a brilliant time in our

daily clubs which are held at 2.30pm each

day.

Monday is Games Club, Tuesday Pamper

Club, Wednesday Baking Club, Thursday

Movie Club, Friday Arts & Crafts Club,

Saturday Quiz & Puzzle Club and on Sunday

we have Music Club. The Baking Club is a

BIG hit and it’s great to see our ladies

sharing their home baking knowledge with

everyone.

Thursday – Movie Club:

Residents in the main lounge enjoying an old

black & white film, everyone always enjoys

Movie Club and it also has the added bonus

of popcorn snacks too!

Cake Sale

On Bank Holiday Monday Fran one of our

Team Leaders and Flo one of our night carers

held a bake sale with all profits going to

Friends of the Home, the girls did an

excellent job of organising the event, baking

all of the cakes themselves and hosting the

day too. They raised an amazing £97.00 and

FOTH are extremely grateful. Thank you to

everyone too who either bought a slice of

cake or donated to the day.

We have great pleasure in welcoming our

new members of staff: Beatrice, Alexia &

Robin.

We hope you all enjoy working with us here

Employee of the Month

JANUARY 2018 – Fleur H - Fleur has

worked really hard this month, picked up

shifts to help with staffing numbers and

helped Team Leaders when needed. FEBRUARY 2018 –-Becky S – Becky really

shows compassion towards every resident

she helps, nothing is too much for her. An

asset to our team!

MARCH 2018 ––Shaun R - Shaun is quite a

new member of staff but has been an asset to

our team from day one, works well with

everyone, tries to get all staff working as a

team, has time for residents and makes them

feel valued & cared for. Well Done & Congratulations To You All!

Residents and relatives can nominate staff

and forms are available in reception or ask in

the office if you would like to complete one.

have a chat or if you cannot attend but there

is something you would like to raise at the

forum please come and let me know and I

will add it to the agenda.

21.05.18 – Entertainment from Mr John

come and join us in the main lounge

from 2pm for some singing and fun.

28.05.18 – Bank Holiday Monday

30.05.18 - Entertainment today at

2pm in the main lounge from Gerry Morris,

singing, piano and flute music.

04.06.18 – Extend with Shelley at

1.30pm join us in the main lounge for some

gentle exercise to music

17.06.18 – Fathers Day today, come and help

us celebrate our dads!

18.06.18 – Entertainment from Frank Taylor

this afternoon at 2pm, join us in the main

lounge for singing and musical entertainment

21.06.18 – Holy Communion Service Today

advertised on the noticeboards throughout the

home so keep your eye on them and you are

always very welcome to join us for all

activities.
