NEWLINKWhy additional Antennas?

Better Signal Reception

Higher Signal-to-Interference ratio

Longer distances

Lower error rates thus Higher Throughput

Lower Latency

Enables outdoors Solutions

Cabling Systems

NEWLINKApplications

Indoors coverage improvement

Keep AP in a safe place extending antennas to public area

Bring WLAN Access from the building’s exterior

Multifloor coverage with a single external AP from the exterior

Extended-reach Point-to-Point WLAN segments

NEWLINKHow to Configure?

1. Is this an Outdoor or an Indoor project?2. What reach is intended for?3. How distant apart will be the AP from its high-gain antenna?4. Select the Antenna model based on the area to be coberture

(omni or narrow-directional) and the distance 5. Keep the cable length between the AP and the antenna at

minimum required. Select as convenient6. Choose the connection model ( Config 3E or Config 4E ) most

suitable for your application7. Some cable options require pre-definition for the Access Point

to be used for proper connector’s matching

Always conduct a Site-Survey to confirm signal levels and existing interferences

Is the Loss due to signal’s dispersion

Remote bridge Receiver’s sensitivity depends upon the throughput

Useful signal level must consider the Free Space Path Losses
