    DAY 1HOME TUNIS Assemble at the Airport and depart for Tunis, the sprawling capital of Tunisia in North Africa.

    Upon your arrival, depart to explore the gorgeous bougainvillea-clad village Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque small town bordered by white-washed houses with blue shutters and doors. Check out the various art galleries and try some mint tea in one of the traditional street cafes while enjoying the superb view of the gulf of Tunisia. Then, spend some time at leisure to indulge in shopping. Return to Tunis for dinner and the night.

    Explore the ancient city of Carthage (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the oldest Phoenician settlement on the coast of North Africa. Continue to Byrsa Hill to see

    the main ruins of the Punic City and some of its glorious monuments like the Antonine Baths, Tophet and Punic Port. Return to Tunis city and visit Bardo Museum (closed on Mondays), one of the best archaeological museums in the Mediterranean, which is especially well-known for its beautiful collection of mosaics. Continue visit the Medina of Tunis (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its souks, which is Tunis’s historic old town and colorful local markets. Dinner and overnight in Tunis.

    DAY 4TUNIS KAIROUANBreakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Head to Kairouan, travelling through the fertile valleys and rolling hills of the North. Explore the city, one of the holiest sites in Islam and the spiritual home of all Tunisians. Visit the Great Mosque, the oldest, largest and most important Islamic landmark which was built in the 9th century. Next, visit Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi, which houses the tomb of one of Prophet Mohammed's companions known as the Barber. End the day with free time in the old medina of Kairouan, the entire medina is protected by UNESCO.

    DAY 7TOZEUR NEFTACHOTT EL JERID DOUZBreakfast, Lunch, DinnerDepart to Nefta, a peaceful oasis town and visit La Corbeille, a palm embroidered hollow in the ground. Hop on a horse

    carriage and cross the dry Salt Lake of Chott El Jerid. Continue to Douz, the gateway to the Sahara. Enjoy an hour camel ride passing over the majestic sand dunes and picturesque Sahara Desert. You can go on an optional quad bike safari at your own expenses.

    This morning explores the Medina of Sfax, experience the local culture first-hand at its street market. Head to El Jem and be enthralled by one of the world’s largest and most spectacular Roman Amphitheatre. Built in 238ad, the amphitheatre can hold up to 35,000 spectators. This monument illustrates the grandeur and extent of the Roman Empire. Continue to Sousse, the 3rd-largest city in Tunisia. Visit the Medina of Sousse, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Tunisia. Explore the ramparts, walls that enclose certain parts of the city and the 13th-century Ribath, an ancient rest stop for travellers.

    DAY 5KAIROUAN SBEITLA TOZEURBreakfast, Lunch, DinnerDepart to Sbeitla, the site of the spectacular Roman city of Sufeitula. You will be visiting the forum and its temples, see the public baths, theatre, and numerous Christian basilicas with their elaborate baptisteries covered in colourful mosaics. Heading south, you will arrive in the late afternoon at the fascinating oasis town of Tozeur. Free time to explore Tozeur’s beautiful old town.

    DAY 8DOUZ MATMATA SFAX Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Drive to Matmata and explore its famous troglodytes, underground houses built to protect the Berbers from the intense heat in the summer. Visit the Berber Museum in Tamezret and discover the amazing history. Continue to Tataouine, a town in Tunisia that inspired the Star Wars planet of Tatooine, which was fictional home of Luke Skywalker. This district is famous for its Ksar Ouled Soltane. Thereafter head to Sfax for overnight.

    After breakfast, free at leisure. Move on to the principal town of Cap Bon, Nabeul is famous for its pottery, its rush mats and its flower essences. Some free time for last minute shopping before heading to Hammamet for dinner and the night. You may consider pamper yourself an unrivalled thalassotherapy treatment at your own expenses.

    Spend some time exploring the beautiful Tunis before transferring to the airport for your return flight home.

    Enjoy the day excursion with 4WD to visit Chebika, known as the castle of the sun; Tamerza, the largest mountain oases of Tunisia. You will see the palm grove, waterfall and old village. Continue to Mides, the most attractive of the Tunisian’s mountain oases with a string of gorges stretching over 3 km. Next visit the décor of the Star Wars film in Ong Jemel. Return to hotel getting the lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Dar Cherait Museum with its collection of traditional costumes and jewellery, the open-air Museum Eden Palm and strolling at the Medina of Tozeur.
