Stainless Steel World Americas 2012 Conference & Exhibition, 16 – 17 October 2012
The Stainless Steel World Americas 2012
Conference will bring together experts from
end-users, engineering companies, fabricators,
stockists, steel works, and research institutes in
order to exchange service experiences and
technical information regarding corrosion
resistant alloys. It will be geared to the provision
of solutions to the every day and long-term
challenges faced by end-users and will be
practical and case-study oriented. Whilst there
will be plenty of room to present papers of a
technical nature to update the marketplace
about latest innovations and products, much
time will be devoted to the exchange of
knowledge and ideas with a ‘hands on’,
workmanlike approach. In this context there
with be workshops covering: (1) Fabricator
Qualifications: When and How to Qualify
Fabricators from an End-User/Fabricator
Perspective; (2) How to Better Understand How
the Advent of Corporate Sustainability
Measures and Goals are Challenging Materials
Engineers; (3) Navigating the Multitude of
Here is what next year’s chairman, Brian J. Fitzgerald, Lead Specialist, Materials Engineer,ExxonMobil Chemical Co., has to say about the event for 2012:
Welcome to Stainless Steel World Americas 2012I’m very privileged to serve as your Chairman for The Stainless Steel World Americas 2012 Conference at The Woodlands
Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Houston, Texas, October 16 and 17, 2012. I am also fortunate to be assisted
by a very strong and capable steering committee composed of material engineering leaders from the supplier and end-user
communities. The Stainless Steel World Americas Conference is an established forum specifically oriented to providing
solutions for the end-users. The 2012 Conference will continue this focus with scene setting plenary lectures, solution
focused workshops and a collection of technical presentations based on real world experiences and practical applications
of stainless steels and corrosion resistant alloys. The broad expertise of the steering committee members will ensure the
very best presentations from stainless steel and CRA manufacturers, suppliers, fabricators and end-users are brought together to provide
end-user solutions focused on stainless steel and CRA selection, performance, reliability and cost effectiveness.
The 2012 Conference is again privileged to complement the presentations and workshops with a showcase of the latest technologies and
developments in the Expo Hall. This combination of focused presentations and workshops in conjunction with stainless steel and CRA
oriented exhibits provides a unique opportunity and excellent value for everyone with an interest in materials engineering and end use of
stainless steels and CRA’s.
Whether you are a long time participant in the Stainless Steel World Conferences or are considering attending for the first time, you will
encounter a high level of expertise and networking opportunities all wrapped up in an informal, friendly, social atmosphere aimed at
exchanging current and topical problem-solving information. So let’s share experiences and solve some problems by joining us and other
materials engineering leaders at The Woodlands, October 16 – 17, 2012.
