Current Health Sciences Shuttles
– Four (4) different primary routes with excessive stops
– A few single purpose routes– “Concierge” service in some lots– Infrequent – Inconsistent schedule– Difficult for passengers to understand the routes
Challenges
• Enrollment is the greatest influencing factor on revenue growth for the bookstore
• Consolidation and the name change have presented significant challenges
• Interest from outside management providers is weak right now
• Temporary / Seasonal / Student employee model may not be sustainable
Proposed Health Sciences Transit System
• Reduce to two routes with two shuttles on each route, with an additional shuttle at peak demand.– Green Route – Service the northern areas of the
Health Sciences campus.– Gold Route – Service the southern areas of the
Health Sciences campus.
