Message from Oxford Chamber Music Foundation

Good afternoon,

I'm writing to let you know about a special, free concert for primary school children at the 2017 Ox-

ford Chamber Music Festival, that I think many of your pupils would love to attend. "Open, Sesame!",

at 11:30am on Sunday 1st October, is a magical concert for children and adults alike, filled with the

mystery and colour and excitement of Persia and the Orient. We will re-tell stories first told by Sche-

herazade in the 1001 Nights, and the fabulously talented musicians of OCMF will improvise a live,

dramatic, surprising soundtrack, using Western and Eastern instruments, before your very eyes and

ears!

Booking is now open through tickets oxford at http://ticketsoxford.com/whats-on/?promotor=1117 .

Best wishes, Will Anderson, Festival Administrator

Year 5—Viking Day

Year 5s loved their Viking Day with Hrothgar aka Roger Barry. Children gladly joined his war band as they learnt about Viking life and death, runes, games, even food and drink.

Thank you to Mrs. Shapland and Mr. Jee for organising such a lovely treat for the children and to our lovely model Charlotte.

Harvest We will be having our Harvest celebration at 9am on Monday 25th Septem-

ber in our school assembly. If you are able to donate any food items for that

morning, we would be most grateful.

Thank you to those parents who came along to the workshop given by the

NSPCC on Keeping You Children Safe On-line. A very useful and informative

session!!!

For anyone who wanted to go, but wasn't able to make it, the leaflets that

the NSPCC left are on the Safeguarding Noticeboard above the sofa next to

the office. Please call in and see me if you need to discuss at anytime.
