The year 2013 was filled with some disappointments, but overall it was a year of ex- citing advancements for The Kingdom. We have seen the hand of God breaking, molding, and remolding us into a church that enables him to bless the saints and bring new hope to the downtrodden and destitute in our community. I trust that you find your relationship with God closer and deeper now than at the beginning of last year. We are now entering into a new phase as we look into 2014. The motto for the New Year is “My Best will be SEEN in 2014”. I would like to see each one of you individually and this church collectively experience the greatness of God over this next year. For this to happen we must decide to do our best. Let us join together in believing and proclaiming the great things that God has in store for each of us. An over all view of 2013 shows many improvements. With the water problems in the Junior Church area we were forced to make some major repairs. I see this as God saying , “Quit talking and get working.” What do I mean by that statement, you may ask? Well, if the floor had not needed repairing we probably would still not have the fellowship area we now are enjoying. But because of the needed repairs it moti- vated us into taking down walls, ripping up old carpet and making a clean attractive place to have dinners and fellowships. In April of 2013 I felt overwhelmed by the enormity of the task and expense we were facing. Looking back I thank God for al- lowing this to happen and getting us motivated. The New Fellowship Area has al- ready proven itself to be a blessing for our church. The teens and children now have a clean cheerful place for their class and we have been able to have several dinners and activities all together in one room. In the next couple of months we will be installing a new furnace and a/c unit in the Fellowship Room. I want to thank all who have been working and donating to this project. We are near completion. God always knows what He is doing. Our part is to not quit midstream but just keep trusting Him. As the song says “God is still doing great Things. His power has never changed” It has been exciting to see visitors almost every week as well as to see the new con- verts and regular attendees’ service after service. We are growing and New Member- ship class is scheduled for January. Make sure you sign-up in the foyer. I want to thank everyone for his or her support over the past year. Together we saw just a glimpse of what God wants to do. It takes teamwork, everyone harnessing up and pulling together, to move forward. God’s work deserves our best. We owe it to God to give our best and do our best for Him. Be on time, Be faithful, Be consis- tent, Be dependable, Be courteous, and Be helpful. Together we can make a difference in this community. I invite you to lock arms and unite our hearts in 2014 for the building and up lifting of His Kingdom. In Christ Service, Pastor Ken God is still doing great things!

Greetings NHCC Family,

The holiday season has come and gone, swiftly carrying us into another new year.

The year 2013 was filled with some disappointments, but overall it was a year of ex-

citing advancements for The Kingdom. We have seen the hand of God breaking,

molding, and remolding us into a church that enables him to bless the saints and bring new hope to the downtrodden and destitute in our community. I trust that you

find your relationship with God closer and deeper now than at the beginning of last

year. We are now entering into a new phase as we look into 2014. The motto for the

New Year is “My Best will be SEEN in 2014”. I would like to see each one of you

individually and this church collectively experience the greatness of God over this

next year. For this to happen we must decide to do our best. Let us join together in

believing and proclaiming the great things that God has in store for each of us. An over all view of 2013 shows many improvements. With the water problems in

the Junior Church area we were forced to make some major repairs. I see this as God

saying , “Quit talking and get working.” What do I mean by that statement, you

may ask? Well, if the floor had not needed repairing we probably would still not have

the fellowship area we now are enjoying. But because of the needed repairs it moti-

vated us into taking down walls, ripping up old carpet and making a clean attractive place to have dinners and fellowships. In April of 2013 I felt overwhelmed by the

enormity of the task and expense we were facing. Looking back I thank God for al-

lowing this to happen and getting us motivated. The New Fellowship Area has al-

ready proven itself to be a blessing for our church. The teens and children now have a clean cheerful place for their class and we have been able to have several dinners and

activities all together in one room. In the next couple of months we will

be installing a new furnace and a/c unit in the Fellowship Room. I

want to thank all who have been working and donating to this project.

We are near completion. God always knows what He is doing. Our part

is to not quit midstream but just keep trusting Him. As the song says

“God is still doing great Things. His power has never changed” It has been exciting to see visitors almost every week as well as to see the new con-

verts and regular attendees’ service after service. We are growing and New Member-

ship class is scheduled for January. Make sure you sign-up in the foyer.

I want to thank everyone for his or her support over the past year. Together we

saw just a glimpse of what God wants to do. It takes teamwork, everyone harnessing

up and pulling together, to move forward. God’s work deserves our best. We owe it

to God to give our best and do our best for Him. Be on time, Be faithful, Be consis-

tent, Be dependable, Be courteous, and Be helpful.

Together we can make a difference in

this community. I invite you to lock arms

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Christmas Celebration Services were held December 22. We had a wonderful morning worship service to Jesus our Savior

born in a manger. The first 40 people at church received a free Poinsettia. After worship we had Christmas dinner together in

our New Fellowship area. It was a dinner of ham, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls and much more great

food besides many desserts. This dinner was a gift provided to the church from our Pastor and family. We all had a great time

of fellowship as we ate dinner together.

After dinner we went back into the sanctuary where we enjoyed Christmas Carols by Candlelight. Our candlelight

services here at New Hope are always such a special time as we listen to our choir sing as well as sing Christmas carols

together. A special thank you to our Musicians and Choir for making this service happen. We are BLESSED with great

talent here at New Hope.

Christmas Celebration

Youth Christmas Party

Our Children’s Christmas program this year was held on December 8 at 10:30 am. It was called , “A King is Coming to

Town”. This was by far one of the best children’s programs New Hope has ever performed. It was a snowy day and many of

the regular attendees missed but we still had 109 in attendance and they were not disappointed in what they saw. The town

was expecting a king to come: first Elvis rolled on the scene with his usual entourage and flair. Then King Tut came with

all his fanfare and pomp. After him King Kong came in scaring the crowd as the kids yelled, “Don’t be afraid! It will be

OK!” Then Mary and Joseph came to the little stable with the real King. The King of Kings born in a manger. It was a great

program well performed and narrated through the Mayor of the town , News Cast, and various towns people. The program

was full of songs performed with great enthusiasm by the children. Great program Children’s Church

Tacky Christmas Sweater Party

What a fun evening we had on December 8. If you missed this yearly party you missed out on a chance to show off your

favorite Christmas sweater. Some of the sweaters were bought at the store and some were made at home. Our youngest Con-

testant was Ella Cox in Her “I didn’t know I could not do that Santa” sweater. The winner of the contest was 1st place Tate’s

Uncle John. Kenny Cox was 2nd place and Kenny Lawson was 3rd place. Winners for ages 16 and under was 1st place Brian

Cox, 2nd place Julie Kirby, 3rd place Will Taylor. We had lots of appetizers and desserts to eat. We also played a couple

games. Amber Ward won the “Knock the bottles over with a potato” game. Thanks everyone for your participation. Thank

You New Hope Church for hosting clean and fun activities for our families.

We had nearly 40 people go to help with the Homeless Outreach this year. We went to the Drop Inn Center in Cincinnati on

Sunday December 15, 5:30 pm. We took coats, hats, gloves, socks, clothes, candy, and a gospel tract. We also passed out hot

chocolate, cookies, and coffee. This was a great opportunity to touch the lives of the less fortunate in our area. Thank you to

everyone who gave of your money and time to make this possible. Jesus said “if you do it unto the least of theses you have

done it unto me”.

Homeless Outreach

The Youth had a Christmas Party on December 18 and what a party they had! Chicken tenders, pizza, Subway Subs, chips,

pop, cake, candy and gifts. Our youth are so blessed to have workers who take their time and money to make sure that the

youth have a great time. The Church Family Thanks the Youth workers for all you do!

Thank you for giving to the needy this year for Christmas. Portion Pac in Mason, Ohio once again teamed up with New

Hope Church and provided presents and treat bags for needy kids. Thanks to your giving we were able to help 30 children

have a better Christmas. Each child was given at least 2 gifts.
