The City of North Port needs over 100 Volunteers

We need volunteers to make this food drive run smoothly. So far, we are only about half way there. We need 40 drivers with pickup trucks, trailers, vans, etc to drive the mail routes and collect the food. Each driver needs a rider to get out at each stop and pick the food up. Volunteers are also needed to help at the food banks to sort and box the collected food. Betty is the contact for the Volunteers,

FISHERMEN’S VILLAGE TO HOST “KEY LIME FESTIVAL” Punta Gorda, FL—Fishermen’s Village will play host to a Key Lime Festival

beginning at 10 am and continuing until 9 pm, Saturday, May 18th, 2013. The all day festival will feature live music by Gator DJ 11 am-3pm and Renn Loren & Tiki Town Castaways 5-9 pm. Face painting by Metamasque will be offered

11 am-5 pm. Key Lime themed contests will include “Who’s Got Punta Gorda’s Best Key Lime Pie”

The Best of Florida’s Bartender’s “Key Lime Pie Martini” and “Key Lime Pie Margarita” Challenge. Village Restaurants will be creating original key lime chef specialties. The Village Promenade will be filled with Florida Artisans, showcasing their unique festival themed wares! Woodland Middle School Technology Student Association (TSA) will be having a

golf tournament on May 18th, 2013 at Sabal Trace Golf and Country Club to

help raise money for the upcoming school year. We are coming to you today

to ask for a donation in the form of hole sponsorship. We have 5 Levels of

hole sponsorship.

Bronze Level: $50.00 one small 18x24 hole sign

Silver Level: $100.00 one large 24x36 hole sign

Gold level: $200.00 one large and small sign with space for you to have

table at a hole to display product and business information. Platinum level:

$350.00 one foursome into the tournament and one large and small hole sign

Diamond level: $400.00 all of the Platinum level and a space for you to have

a table at a hole to display product and business information

100% of all proceeds from this fundraising event will go towards the students

involved in the tech club to better their learning experience and help cost in

participating in future competitions. Our goal is to raise enough funds to start

and annual scholarship for a graduating 8th grader to help pursue his or her

college career.

TSA is a national program that fosters personal growth, leadership, and

opportunities in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. The mission

of TSA is to prepare members for the challenges of a dynamic world by

promoting technological literacy, leadership and problem solving, resulting in

personal growth opportunities.
