Nelnet Payment Plan Enrollment-
Students can Access the Nelnet Payment Plan by going to MMCC’s Homepage at www.midmich.edu, selecting the
CURRENT STUDENTS at the top, then selecting Cashier’s Office. Once you are on the Cashier’s Office page, scroll down
until you see the nelnet logo. Select the Logo and you will be directed to the site to enroll in the payment plan.
Click Create a username & password, the system will ask for an email verification. This is looking for existing user
accounts. If no accounts are found, click Create a new FACTS account.
Contact Info
The student/parent will be asked to provide their name, address, phone number and email. Fields marked with an
asterisk(*) are required.
Online Account Profile
The student/parent will enter a username and password. They will also select three predefined security questions and
provide answers.
Dashboard
From the dashboard, the customer will complete the following steps:
Click Set up a Payment Plan
Select a term and click Continue
o Only active terms are displayed
Welcome
From this point forward, the student/parent has access to Live Help via nelnet’s chat feature on the top right corner of the
screen. This option is available Monday-Friday from 8-5 Central Time.
Customer Information
The customer will have the opportunity to review their personal information and make changes as needed. In addition, the
customer can update their correspondence preference and add Authorized Parties.
Students
Click Add a Student
Enter:
o Student First and Last Name
o Student ID (This number can be found on the student’s registration statement in the upper left corner, or
by using the student’s midweb account.)
Click Save
To enter additional student information, click Add a Student again. When finished, click Next.
Amount Due
Click Add Charges
Tuition and Fees – Enter the amount due for tuition and fees. This amount can be found on the Students Registration
Form or by using the student’s midweb account.
Once entered, the student/parent can Edit the information entered, or click Next to proceed.
*Please note: This example is only using $1.00 for total tuition and fees. You are responsible to enter the correct amounts
to cover your MMCC Balance or you will be dropped from your classes at the next available Payment Deadline date.* If
you do not know the amount due, please check your student Midweb account or refer to your Registration Statement you
received when you registered.
Plan Options
Use the Show: drop down menu on the right to limit the plans displayed
Select a payment plan
o If additional fees apply to a specific plan, that information is listed under the plan name
o Plans that have a down payments will have an additional column with the amount due
Click Next
A warning will be displayed to remind the student/parent if there is a NBS Enrollment Fee for the plan selected
MMCC offers multiple options for payment-
o Select a plan with the number of payments you would like to make
o Payment plans can also be customized more specifically to the payment date you would like. Payments
can be processed on either the 5th, 15th, or 25th of each month.
Payment Details
Enter the financial account information to be used.
The person listed as the Customer (Responsible Party) must be a signer on the account.
Select Add Bank Account or Add Credit Card

REMINDER: A Convenience Fee will be assessed for
payments made by credit/debit card. The
convenience fee amount will be disclosed once you
select a payment method.
If a Down Payment is required, information about the Amount Due Today is listed
o Click View Details to see information about the down payment
Click Next
Payment Schedule
If multiple payment dates are offered, the customer will select from the drop down menu. This will populate the future
payment schedule below.
Review & Authorize
Change links allow the user to edit the information entered during payment plan setup
The student/parent must check the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions
Clicking Authorize finalizes the agreement
Thank You
Click Print to save a copy
Click Done to navigate to user account
You can also receive TEXT alerts for payment reminders
User Account
From the user account, the customer can click View Details to see schedule, balance, and payment activity. They can
also manage their personal information.
