At New Roads, ask for an “Intake”. If you are sleeping
outside or in a car (or shed or someplace not meant for
human habitation), they will put you on the Lane County
Centralized Waiting List. If you are couch surfing, you may
be eligible for other housing programs. Just ask what else
they can do for you!

If you are literally homeless (camping or sleeping in a car or shed), you can ask to be put on the Centralized Wait List. If you are on that list, you can qualify for housing with:
1. Rapid Rehousing Program: pays application fees, move in deposits, rent, and utility payments for two years. Also provides case management.
2. Transitional Housing Program: for girls 16-21. You live in apartments upstairs from New Roads, and this program has intensive case management by the on-site property manager
If you are couch surfing, or staying with people but don’t have a fixed, regular address, you may be eligible for:
3. Transitional Living Program: each enrolled client can get up to $1500 of financial assistance to move into a new apartment. They will work with you to prepare you to get into housing, and you will need to prove you can pay rent before they will pay a deposit.
