NCB NI is running the ENGAGE programme, a development and support contractproviding support and advice for projects funded through the Reaching Out:

Empowering Young People programme, on behalf of the Big Lottery Fund.

ENGAGE is for you and the young people you are working with.ENGAGE aims to: Improve participation of young people in the delivery of projects Support projects according to individual needs Develop a central web presence for grantees where they can share ideas Provide marketing and advocacy support Build networks amongst grantees to capitalise on learning Raise the public profile of project impacts

How does ENGAGE work?ENGAGE is available for all projects that have been awarded grants from the Big

Lottery Funds Reaching Out: Empowering Young People programme

After you receive your letter of offer you can contact the ENGAGE team

at NCB NI.

The first point of contact is Teresa Geraghty- 02890891733 or tgeraghty@ncb.org.uk

Teresa will arrange to come and see you and talk throughyour needs. Teresa will

help you find out how to get the most out of the ENGAGE programme and together

you will create an agreed action plan.

As well as 1:1 support the ENGAGE team will deliver workshops for all grantees.

Workshop 1-Advocacy and lobbying for your project

Workshop 2- How to engage with young people more effectively

Workshop 3- Open surgery for Grantees

Some workshops will include young people as facilitators.

ENGAGE will also have an online presence atparticipationworks.org.ukYou will be able to post your own issues on the site and get a response from theENGAGE Team.Case studies will also be collected and put on the site to raise the profile of what

you are delivering.
