To Become Eligible You Must:

• Be certified eligible by the NCAA Eligibility Center (register with the Eligibility Center)

• Graduate from high school• Earn at least a 2.0 GPA in a core curriculum of at

least 16 approved core courses in grades 9-12. • Earn a passing score on either the SAT or ACT

college entrance exams. Passing score depends on your GPA. (See chart on NCAA website)

3Math: 1 year Algebra & 1 year Geometry or a class that has Geometry as a prerequisite

2Natural or Physical Science : Including 1 year of a lab science if offered by your high school

1 Additional Course: English, Math or Science

4Additional Credits: English , Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Language, Philosophy, Non-doctrinal Religion

16 Total Core Courses

*Division II schools require 14 core courses until fall of 2013- then 16.

Registration Steps:

• Meet with counselor to determine eligibility status

• Register online: www.eligibilitycenter.org

1. Click on “NCAA College-Bound Student Athlete”.

2. Click on “New Account”

3. Complete the registration form including the “My Sports” section on amateurism.

Registration Steps Continued:

4. Pay the fee (see counselor for fee waiver)

5. Request a transcript from your school to be sent to the Eligibility Center.

6. Be sure your test scores are sent by the test agency to the Eligibility Center. Use the NCAA Code, 9999 when registering

7. Use your PIN to check your status through the year.
