"Volunteerism is an important need of the society. We all have a responsibility and we should give back to the society and contribute oneself for the cause of other. Let us all work together and develop ourselves by developing our society. "

"Nation building has to be collaborative movement between corporate, youth and NGOs. People could contribute through time, skills or money. These are the pillars of volunteering, especially pro bono skilled volunteering. India@75 aims to engage individuals and motivate them to Participate, step up, count themselves in in this movement."

Gavaksh organised a meditation session- Mind in the jar for the the underprivileged children at ITO imparting the importance of stil lness of mind .

India@75 Nat ional Volunteering Week (NVW) was launched on 18 January 2016. Mr Rajeev Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports was the Keynote Speaker at the launch. Mr Rajan Navani, Chairman ? CII Council on India@75 & Mr Kumara Guru, Chair, Taskforce on India@75 NVW addressed the gathering. Representatives from NGOs, Corporates & college students attended the event .

A cleaning drive and tree plantation drive was organized by Youth for Seva in Kalandar colony, Dilshad Garden , New Delhi. The Volunteers along with the slum dwellers went door to door and donated basil plants.

PSIT Kanpur conducted several activit ies on the f irst day of India@75 National Volunteering Week. A health check-up camp along with blanket distribution drive was organized for the security guards.

It was really an awesome experience conducting the 1st day activity for the NVW.. though I am actively engaged in taking regular sessions at the NGO however, this was a different experience basing the whole session on value education( Mind in the Jar activity)

A Sports day was arranged at the Doddakalsandra Government School by Youth for Seva. The children were grouped into dif ferent houses named after freedom f ighters to participate in seven events, both team and Individual relay, Sack Race, Lemon & Spoon and Long

The students of MBA, BBA & Engineering program undertook an industrial visit to the Hira Ferrous & Alloys Ltd, Siltara as a part of their semester work. At Hira Ferrous, the students learnt about the production process & management, marketing & human resource management practices. They understood the technical aspects of manufacturing and quality and the working of all the machines being used for production.

Yi Vadodara YUVA Members and Members celebrated NYW by a session on the theme ?Clean India, My Dream India? as a part of National Volunteering Week with the objective of interacting with the school students to make them aware about the importance of cleanliness & hygiene in their school campus & nearby surroundings. The session was attended by more than 300 Students.

Yi Bhopal Members and Yuva Chaupal members of Billabong high school volunteered to share their experience regarding personal hygiene, with the underprivileged children of Neelbad Shaskiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Bhopal. After the experience sharing session the Distribution of Recycled Notebooks (project Right to Write), and Distribution of Swachh Bharat Hyegine kits was done to the kids of Neelbad Shaskiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya.
