The Two International Awards:

(i) Glory of India Award (with Certificate of Excellence & a Memento) (ii) International Achievers Award (with Certificate of Excellence & a Memento)

are presented to Prof. Dr Bhavanari Satyanarayana (AP Scientist Awardee, Chairman & Professor, Department of Mathematics, Acharya Nagarjuna University) by Mr. H.E. Korn Dabbaransi (The Honorable Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand) in Bangkok (Thailand) on March 26, 2011 at Indo-Thai Friendship Banquet (Hotel Holiday Inn) with a Certificate of Excellence for individual excellent performance and outstanding contribution for the Progress of Nation & Worldwide.

The awards are arranged for the individuals who have performed their Individual excellence in various fields. These awards are given to the people in recognition of their “Sterling Merit, Excellent Performance and Out-standing contribution for the Progress of Nation & Worldwide”. Earlier in 2003, The Honorable Prime Minster of India & The Honorable Prime Minister of Thailand have signed a memorandum and started Indo-Thai Friendship Banquet. These International Awards will be presented to the people who are the citizens of (or originated from) India or Thailand, in recognition of their individual Excellency in the development of their Nation & Worldwide.

This time Glory of India Award is presented to 35 individuals, and the International Achievers Award is presented to 5 individuals at the Indo-Thai Friendship Banquet held in Bangkok on 26-03-2011.

Prof. Dr Bhavanari Satyanarayana and Yogacharya Khokan Baba (Assam) are only two who received both the Awards (i.e., “Glory of India Award & International Achievers Award”) at Indo-Thai Friendship Banquet, Hotel Holiday Inn, Bangkok, March 26, 2011.

The awardees include: Researchers, Doctors, Industrialists, Film Makers, President/Director of Educational Institutions, Member of Parliament of Malaysia, Deputy Speaker of the State Manipur, Religious Teachers.

Mr. Joginder Singh I.P.S. (Retd) (Former Director of C.B.I, New Delhi) addressed the awardees at Indo-Thai Friend Ship Banquet. He said that “Success is a Journey, Not a Destination”. The awardees should take this spirit. With these awards and inspiration, the awardees should work more without bounds and limits. As Eienstien quoted “Religion without science is Blind”. We should work differently, Positively, Potentially and Purposefully towards the Development of Nation & Worldwide.

Our state should proud of Dr Bhavanari for getting two international awards at a time.

Dr Bhavanari received several national awards before. Few to mention are: AP Scientist Award (By Department of Science and Technology, Central Government Organization, New Delhi, 2009). On 19-11-2011 (the Birth Day of our Former Prime Minister: Smt. Indira Gandhi), in the AP Congress (held at JNTU, Hyderabad), the AP Science Academy honored Dr Bhavanari with the award “Fellow of APSA”. On 21-01-2011, Dr Bhavanari honored with SHIKSHA RATTAN PURASKAR in the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi for his Meritorious Services, Outstanding Performance and Remarkable role.

On the occasion of receiving the present two International Awards, Dr Bhavanari Satyanarayana spoke to the News Today. He said….

Interest should be generated during the student days:

Mathematics is the base for all sciences. Mathematics trains the brain. That is why, we essentially include the subject Mathematics in the curricula of all Degree (UG/PG) Courses. Those who are trained in mathematics will shine in any walk of life.

I have selected the difficult branch: ALGEBRA for my research. I feel happy to inform that more than thousand new theorems of mine were published in International Journals published several parts/countries of the world: New York/Japan/South Africa/Korea/Turkey/Australia/USA. More over three of my books (authored by me) were published by VDM Verlag (Germany) in 2010.

Mathematics is the base for the present day developing Technology:

A branch of Mathematics called BOOLEAN ALGEBRA that was started in 1857 is the base for the present day computer. The FUZZY LOGIC that was started in 1967 playing a vital role in the present day Technology. Due to the development of fuzzy logic, even the citizens of India were able to use the FUZZY WASHING MACHINES. The FUZZY RICE COOKERS are in the present day world market. Every development in Mathematics is leading to a new turn and further step in the technology.

The students should understand the Fundamental Concepts:

Page 10: National Seminar in Mathematics(Algebra) INDIA - Academic Secretary: Prof. Dr Bhavanari Satyanarayana, M.Tech., B.Ed., M.Sc., Ph.D, AP Scientis Awardee, Fellow - AP Akademi of Sciences,

The Mathematics teachers at all levels, should try to explain the fundamental concepts in mathematic s to their students in a simpler way with several examples, so that the students will feel more comfortable in learning mathematics. Due to this, the students feel the subject easy and able to develop the interest and love towards learning Mathematics. The student should know that the development of Mathematics leads to the development of Science and hence the development of the Technology. Also the Education and Technology are only two things in this nature, which can provide Social Equality.

By recollecting our Indian saying from Vedas “Tadvad vedanga sastra naam Ganitham Murdha Nisthitam” (means, the Mathematics occupies the top position among all sciences), we all, let us work together for the development of Mathematics.

The awardee: Dr Bhavanari further expressed…

My family members, friends, relatives, authorities of Acharya Nagarjuna University, the teachers at all levels of my studies, Students and Scholars, provided me a great support and encouragement. These achievements and awards will go and belong to all of them. With the inspiration and spirit of these awards, I would like to work more and more to get better research output as well as books at international standard, towards the development of the Mathematical World.
