STATUS OF SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME

• Few quantity of Micro-nutrients, Vitamin A, de-worming, Iron and Folic Acid and Zinc could be provided few students.

• Time and again, the Health & Medical Services Department (NRHM) have been requested to provide the needful and it is expected that the same will be provided to the students in the near future.

CAPACITY BUILDING• Training on proper and effective implementation of

Mid-day Meal to the Teachers, representatives of VEC/WEC and NGOs who are involved in Mid-Day Meal attended. Resource Persons were provided by the department.

• Sensitization/Workshops had been conducted in the State Level, all the District Headquarters and Sub-Divisional Education Officer headquarters.

• Cooks were trained at SDEO wise location on hygienic measures.

ISSUES :

• MME – Small state having lesser budgetary provision, MME % may be enhanced, especially for capacity building.

• KITCHEN- Kitchen constructed with locally available materials under the sanctioned provision need to be reconstructed and to the schools which had been damaged by natural calamities like landslide, earthquake, fire, wind etc.

• Cooks - Enhancement of cook-cum-helpers may be considered .
