established under the aegis of the reputed Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust, (now known as
MaharishiMarkandeshwar University Trust) which was foundedby a great visionary andrenownedpromoter
of education, Shri Tarsem Garg, inNovember 1993.Named after MaharishiMarkandya (the great-grandson of

procured 1.5 Tesla MRI and 128 Slice MDLT advanced Software for angiography and imaging;

searching. DELNET offers access to more than 18.15 million bibliographic records, 36,940 union list of

and 70293 records of theses and dissertations held by 4975 Libraries in the States of India and 24 overseas
Libraries.MEDLARSis accessible to allusers inthe disciplines ofMedical Sciences.

THE INSTITUTE
The M.M. Institute Of Medical Sciences & Research, Mullana - Ambala, established in2003 is the first self financing Medical Institute of private sector in the State of Haryanahaving highly qualified faculty, quality infrastructure and magnificent buildings withlushgreencampus.
TheInstitutehasultramodern,centrally air-conditioned operation theatres andintensive
care complex which are fully equipped with latest state-of-the-art medical care

Besides departmental libraries, the Institute has a well stocked air conditioned
computerized Library with a seating capacity of 450 students. The Library has a rich

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
A candidate will be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Test for MD/MS/DiplomaCoursesifhe/she:
1.
i) is acitizenof India;
has passed MBBS examination from any Medical College/Institutionrecognizedby theMedicalCouncilof India;
has completed satisfactorily or is liable to complete one year compulsoryrotating internship by 30.04.2015 fromColleges/Centres recognizedby theMedicalCouncilof India;
isregisteredpermanently withtheStateMedicalCouncil/MCIat the time ofadmission;and
possesses a certificate of good conduct from theHead of the Institution lastattended.

The candidate will have to submit the above-mentioned certificates in original atthe time of counselling without which the admission shall not be granted, exceptthe certificate of completion of internship and registration as mentioned at Sr.No.(iii) & (iv) above which will have to be submitted by 20.05.2015 positively,failingwhichtheir ProvisionalAdmissionwillstandcancelled without any furthernotice.
A candidate who is already admitted to a course in any institution is eligible toapply for another course only after passing the first course. Anundertaking to thiseffect will have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.Concealment of facts wouldinvitedisqualification.

After commencement of the PG Courses(Degree/Diploma), if a candidate havingjoined thecourseleavesitbefore thecompletionof fullperiod:

i) he/she willbe debarred for next three years fromapplying for admissiontoany P.G. Course (Degree/Diploma) in the M.M. Institute of MedicalSciences&Research,Mullana-Ambala;and
he/she will have to execute a Bond for payment of full fee of MD/MS/Diploma Courses,at the timeof admissionandwillbeliable topay thebondmoneyincasehe/sheleavesbefore thecompletionof fullperiodof thecourse.

Candidates already in service must submit their ApplicationForms through theiremployer or produce 'No Objection Certificate1, from their employer on or beforethelast date fixedfor thereceipt of ApplicationForms.

DURATION OF MD/MS/DIPLOMA COURSESThe period of training for obtaining MD/MS degree shall be three years including the
period of examination.Inthe case of students possessing a recognised two-year Diploma
inthe same subject,the period of degree trainingincludingthe period of examination
shallbe two years.
The period of training for obtainingDiploma shall be two years including the period of
examination.
The candidates shiftingfromone subject to another or joining the course fromwaitinglist
within one month from the start of the session (closing date of admission) will be
permitted to take the examination along with the regular batch. But for this reason, the
period of absence (even less than 30 days) due to any reasons, after the closing date of
admissioni.e.30 days fromthe start of sessionshallnotbecondoned.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The ApplicationForm duly completed in candidate's own handwriting, should
reach the Admission Office, Administrative Block, Maharishi Markandeshwar
University, Mullana-Ambala (Haryana), 133-207 on or before 09.02.2015 by 4:00 P.M. It
maybe deliveredeither personally or sent under registeredcover. Candidates already in
employment should send their ApplicationForms throughproper channel. Incomplete
Application Form or Form received after the closing date/time will not be considered.The Competent Authority takesnoresponsibility for anypostal delay inthereceipt or loss
of Application Form or any document/correspondence in transit. No intimation withregard to rejection of the candidature on account of late receipt of ApplicationForm, etc.

DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH THE APPLICATIONFORM
The following documents/attested copies must be enclosed alongwith the filled inApplicationForm:-
Certificate of Matric/HighSchool/ICSE/Class X or its equivalent certificate as aproof of date ofbirth.Certificate of having passed the qualifying examination of M.B.B.S. from an
Institutionrecognized by theMCIalongwithmarksheets fromfirst to finalyear of
MBBSexaminations.
Certificate of PassingPGDiploma fromaninstituterecognisedby theMCIonly in
thecase of those whohavepassedthePGDiploma.Four copies of recent passport size photograph, duly attested by the
Director/Principal of the College/GazettedOfficer or the employer in the case ofthoseinemployment.Internship CompletionCertificate certifying the date on which the candidate has
completed/is likely to complete one year compulsory rotating internship. The
date of completionof internshipshouldnotbebeyond30.04.2015.Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal/ social behaviour pattern of
thecandidate fromtheHeadof theInstitutionlast attended.
Proof that the Medical College from which the candidate has passed MBBS
Examinationis recognizedbyMCI. The Certificate shouldbe signedby theHead
of the Institution from which the candidate has passed the MBBS/PG Diplomaexamination.Inthe absence of thiscertificate,admissionshallnotbe granted.Certificate of Registration with the State Medical Council/MCI at the time ofadmission.
No Objection Certificate from the Employer in the case of those candidates, who
areinservice.
MigrationCertificate (inoriginal) by those who have passed the last examination
from a university other thanMMUniversity,Mullana. If not readily available, it
canbesubmittedwithin15 days fromthe date of admission.

The original documents withattested copies of each willhave to be submitted at the time
of Counsellingwith the exception of the certificates at Sr.No. (e) and (f) above whichwill
have to be submitted by 20.05.2015 positively failing which their provisional Admission
shallstandcancelledwithout any furthernotice.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form will not be refunded under anycircumstances.
Any attempt on the part of the candidate, parents or relatives to canvass or bring
influence to bear upon the Competent Authority, directly or indirectly, for
securingadmissionwillleadtodisqualification.The candidate is admitted on the basis of information submittedby him/her andif, at any subsequent stage, it is discovered that any portion of this informationis
incorrect, the student willbe expelled from the institution and all fees and other
dues paid/liable to be paid upto the date of such removal shall be
forfeited/charged. Any further action as deemed suitable may also be takenbythe University against such student and his/her parents/guardians, as the casemaybe.
The ApplicationFormshouldbe filledincarefully inblock andlegible letters and
signed by the candidate. All claims made in the Application Form must be
supported with documentary proof. ApplicationForms which are received late
or are incomplete inrespect of the requiredparticulars or due to lack of essential
documentswillberejectedwithout any intimationto thecandidiate.In case of any ambiguity in the rules, the interpretation given by the Vice-
Chancellor/Competent Authority of theUniversity shallbe final.Any candidate, who violates the above conditions willfully,or otherwise,shallbe
liable toexpulsion.Objections, if any, about the entries/conditions of eligibility mentioned in theprospectus can be raised in the form of a representation to the Competent
Authoritybefore the dateofholdingthe test.

SYLLABUS FOR ENTRANCE TEST -MD/MS/DIPLOMA COURSES
Syllabus of MBBS examinations invarious subjects as prescribedby theMaharishi
Markandeshwar University, Mullana/Maharishi Dayanand University,
Rohtak/Kurukshetra University/Pt. B.D.S. University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and
duly recognized by the MCI will form the basis of the Entrance Test. The questions will
cover theentire syllabus of theMBBScourse.
SCHEME OF ENTRANCE TEST
The Test willbeheldon15.02.2015 from2.00P.M. to 3.30 P.M.atExaminationHall,
M.M.UniversityCampus,Mullana-Ambala.
Asper conditions,thecandidates who secure less than50%marksintheEntrance
Test shallnot be eligible for admission to the MD/MS/Diploma Courses on the
basisof theresult of thisEntranceTest.
i) The Test will consist of one paper of 360 marks carrying multiple choice
questions;
ii) Durationofpaper :Onehour andThirtyMinutes (2.00P.M.to 3.30P.M.)

ii) The Test is of objective type - The candidates will be provided with a sealed
Test Booklet containing an answer-sheet. The seal will be broken openby
the candidates on the announcement by the invigilator and not before that.
The testbooklet willcontain120MCQs of best response type. The candidates
are required to carefully read the instruction sheet on the question booklet
before attempting. Themethodofmarkingresponses willbe clearly indicated
on the instructionsheet. No deviationother than themethodprescribed will
be considered.
WRITINGOFPARTICULARS
The candidate must fill up the required particulars including his/her Roll No.,Centre of Examination, Test Booklet Number,Series Number andSignature onthe
OMR/answer sheet in the appropriate boxes. He/She must NOT write his/herRollNo.anywhere else onthe answer-sheet.
MARKINGOF ANSWER SHEET
Three marks (3) will be given for each correct answer and one mark (-1) will be
deductedfor eachwronganswer.
PROCEDURETOBEFOLLOWEDINTHEEXAMINATIONHALL.
a) Each candidate will be given a sealed Test Booklet with an answer sheet
placed inside it. The seal will be broken open by the candidate on the
announcementby theinvigilator andnotbefore that .

b) Immediately on receipt of the Test Booklet as well as the answer sheet, the
candidate will first read the instructions on it and fill in the required
particulars on cover page of the Test Booklet and on the OMR answer sheet.
Before attempting the question paper, the candidates must check if the Test
Booklet supplied tohim/her is completeinallrespects as regards thenumberof pages with120 questions and OMR sheet. Discrepancy, if any, shouldbe
brought to thenotice of theinvigilator immediately andtheBooklet shouldbe
got changed. No complaint inthisregardwillbe entertained30minutes after
the start of the test and no extra time will be allowed for attempting the
questionpaper onthispretext.
c) ThetestwillstartexactlyatthetimementionedintheProspectusandanannouncement
to this effectwillbemadeby theinvigilator. Nocandidatewillbeallowedentryinthe
ExaminationHall15minutesafter thecommencementof thetest.
d) During the examination, the invigilator will check the Admit-Cards and
compare the photograph of each candidate to satisfy himself about the
genuineness of the candidate. Therubber stamp of the CentreSuperintendent
willbe affixed onthe spaceprovidedinthe Answer-Sheet and the Test Booklet.
Eachcandidateshallalsoberequiredtosigntheattendancesheet.
e) After completing the test and before handing over the Test Booklet and
Answer Sheet, the candidate shouldcheck againthathe/she has followed theinstructions printed on the test-booklet and that all the particulars have been
writtencorrectly. He/Shemust ensure that theRollNo.is writtencorrectly intheOMR/Answer-Sheet.
f) A signalwillbe givenbothat thebeginningandendof the Test. At theclosing
signal, the candidatemust stopmarkingresponses.
g) TheOMR Answer-Sheet shouldbehandledby thecandidate very carefully.It
should not be folded or mutilated in any manner to ensure complete and
accurateevaluationof the Answer-Sheet.
h) To answer any question, thecandidate willberequiredto darken thecircleby
usingblackballpointpenonlycorrespondingto the answer,he/she thinks tobe correct. Anexample for the sameisgivenhereunder serialno.i.

METHOD OF SELECTION AND ADMISSION
The candidates called for Counselling will be required to produce all original
documents/certificates/marks sheets etc. at the time of Counselling. Under nocircumstances, any relaxation will be allowed to the candidates as regardsappearinginpersonbefore the Board onthe fixed date and time andproducing therequisiteoriginaldocuments/certificates/marks sheets, etc.The candidates will be called for counselling before the Board according to theirrespective merit and they will be entitled to exercise their choice regarding thesubject. A candidate can be fined, suspended or expelled from the College/Hostel by the

No student,after joiningtheMD/MS/Diploma courses willbe allowedto apply foror accept any appointment (including Senior Residency/Demonsratorship) till the
completionof thecourse.
The candidates selected for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses will berequired to give anaffidavit to the effect that they arenot undergoingany training
at any other Institutionandwillnot appear inAllIndiaEntranceTest/Examinationof MD/MS/ Diploma Entrance Examination of any other University to be heldduringthecourse of their studiesinthisInstitutiontill thecompletionof thecourse.
If a candidate is found appearing in any such examination under any
circumstances, his/her admission shall be cancelled and the candidate will beliable topay the fee for theremainingperiodof the course also. TheRegistrar of the
University/Principal of the College will be Competent Authority to recover the
balance fee of theremainingperiod.
If a student absents himself/herself from duty, anintimation to this effect willbesentby the concernedHead of theDepartment to thePrincipal/Director within48
hours. If the period of absence exceeds 2 days, the Head of the Department/Unit,
shall not allow any such student to joinhis/her duty without prior permission oftheDirector/Principal.If a student remains absentcontinuously for two weeks or a totalof six weeksinone
year (without getting leave sanctioned), his/her admission shall stand cancelled.For reasons like illness, certificate (upto four weeks continuous or with breaks)
issuedonlyby thePrincipalof theMedicalInstitutewillbe accepted. If acandidate
leaves the station with permission and falls ill, a certificate (upto four weeks
continuous or withbreaks) issuedby aMedicalOfficer notbelow the rank of Civil
Surgeon or Medical Superintendent of the Institution, will only be accepted. The
certificatesmust bear identity (specimensignature) of the candidate,department's
dispatch No., office stamp and signatures of Head of Deptt./Unit/CivilSurgeon/concerned. Certificate on simple OPD card or prescription slip willnot
be treated as Medical Certificate. For medical leave beyond four weeks, the
candidate willhave to apply and appear before a MedicalBoard to be constituted
by thePrincipal. M.M.Institute of MedicalSciences &Research,Mullanainwhich
case only the Medical Certificate issued by the Medical Board will be accepted.
However, the period of such leave sanctioned will have to be compensated by
undergoing training for the extended period equal to the period of leave availed
before appearing in the examination. If a candidate fails to appear before the
Medical Board, his/her admission shall be cancelled without any further notice.Further, if a candidate leaves the country during his/her course without thepermission of the Competent Authority, his/her admission shall be cancelledwithout anynotice.

8. Incase a student availsmaternity leave duringthe course, the same willbe allowed
asperMCIinstructions.
The students willbe allowedleave as per University/College instructions fromtime to
time.
TheHead of theDepartment is competent to sanctionleave includingstationleave
upto four days only. If the duration of leave including station leave is more than
four days, then the Head of Dept, will forward the application with specificcomments to the Principal for sanction. Yearly leave will be granted only in
proportionto the time of theyear elapsed.

III. AgreementBond
Each candidate willbe required to execute abond withtwo sureties (onnon-judicial
stamppaper of Rs.15/- duly attestedby the1st ClassMagistrate) at the time of admissiontothe effect thathe/she willnot leave the coursebeforeit is completed. Incase, anyone leavesthe course midway,he/she will have to make the payment of the full fee of the remainingperiodof thecoursealso asperbondexecutedbyhim/her.Theinstitutionwillhave therightto recover suchmoney from the defaulters inaccordance with the law of the land. He/Shewill also be debarred from appearing in the entrance test for the next three years. The
proforma of the agreement is available in the Admission Office of the Maharishi
MarkandeshwarUniversity.
IV. Every candidate shall have to execute a bond to serve the Institute as Senior
Resident for two years after completionof the course failingwhichhe/she willhave topayanamountofRs.5Lac to theInstitute.
HOW TO FILLINTHE APPLICATIONFORM
(I) A candidate seeking admission to the MD/MS/Diploma courses is required tosendhis/her applicationonthepresbribedformappendedintheprospectus.
(ii) Before filling up the Application Form, the candidate must familiarize
himself/herself with the information given in this prospectus and check his/hereligibility to appear in the Entrance Test. The candidate is required to go through
the prospectus carefully and aquiant himself/herself with all the requirementswithregard to the filling-inof the ApplicationForm.
(iii) ApplicationFormshouldbe filledinEnglishonly.
(iv) Thecandidateshallfill-intheApplicationForminhis/herownhandwritingintheblockletterswrittenneatlyandlegiblywithblue/blackinkwithintheprescribedboxes.Incomplete and applications with overwriting/cutting/erasing may lead to
rejection of the candidature and should be avoided. Any error arising on this

(xi) Photograph :Affix a recent (not taken before 01-01-2015) high contrast photograph

Accessories like caps, hats or dark spectacles are not permitted in the photograph.
Polaroid camera photos are not acceptable. Thephotograph shouldnot be defaced.
The photograph should be firmly affixed to the Application Form with adhesive
(gum/fevicol) and should not be pinned or stapled. Application form of the
candidate not complying with these instructions or with unclear photograph are

(xv) Every candidate isrequiredto submit only one ApplicationForm. If anycandidate

(xvii) Furnishing of false information or suppression of any information would
disqualify the candidate from the entrance test and cancellation of admission if
already admitted. If considered necessary, legal actionmay also be taken against
suchacandidate.
(xviii) Admit Card:The candidates will fillin three Admit Cards to be annexed with the
ApplicationForms. The Original willbe sent to themby Speed Post/Courier. Ifthe same doesnot reachthemintime, they cancollect their Duplicate Admit Cards
from the Examination Centre specified in the prospectus in the morning on

REGULATIONS ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING
RAGGING is totally PROHIBITED in the University and its institutions, andanyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively orpassively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to bepunished in accordance with the Regulations framed and notified by the UGCand other Regulating Councils like MCI/DCI/AICTE, etc. as well as under theprovisions of anypenallaw for the timebeinginforce.Regulations for Elimination of Ragging shall be applicable not only to theUniversity andits institutions or anypart thereof,including,butnot limitedto, theDepartments, constituent units, Colleges, Centre of Studies and all its premises,whether academic, residential, playgrounds, or canteen, whether located withinthe campus or outside, and in all means of transportation of students, whetherpublic or private, accessed by students for the pursuit of their studies in suchinstitutions.RAGGINGconstitutes one or moreof any of the followingacts:
