Why do we provIde tools antietJulpment granf asslstaIu:e toRAC anti MACservice shops?
The refrigeration and air conditioning servicing
sectors have the largest demand for CFCs in thePhilippines. Tools and eQ!.Jipmentgrant assistance isprovided to refrigerationand air conditioning (RAC)andmobileairconditioning(MAC)serviceshops to encourage
them to observe good servicingpractice. and assist themin obtaining certificationunder the DTl's Accreditation
System for service shops. The grant assistance isdistributed to eligibleserviceshops through the VoucherSystem.
What is the Voucher System?
The Voucher System is a financialmechanismto provide partialgrantassistance to serviceshops. Through the system. the DENRshall issuevoucher to eligibleservice shops to purchase tools and eQ!Jipmentforproper servicing/maintenance/installationof RACand MAC systems.
a. RACand MAC service shops (smalland medium enterprises*)'registered with af"!)'appropriate agency (DTI. SEC, LGU.Cooperative Dev't Aulhori9') before JulY I. 2004 can applY for
grant assistanGe on a first-come. first-served basis.
b. Service shops with at least one full-time TESDA-trained technician.
c. For service shops having multiple branches. each registeredbranch is Qualifiedto have a one-time availment of the grantassistance provided it has its own trained technician/so
What are the Documentary ReQuirements When ApplYing forGrant Assistance?

a. One original and two photocopies of completed application form
(NCPP Voucher System Form A).
b. Copy of Certificate of Training of service technician on "Recovery
and Recycling of Refrigerants" and "Retrofitting of RAC and MAC
System" from TESDA or TESDA-accredited training institutions.
c. Original copy of Certificate of Employment of service shop's trained
technician/s issued by service shop owner/President or authorized
signatory.
d. Photocopy of business/mayor's permit/DTI Business RegistrationCertificate/DTI Certificate of Accreditation/SEC Articles of
Incorporation/CDA Registration Certificate.
(Please present the original for verification.)
e. Letterof commitment to shoulder the relevant tax-imposedfor thetools/eQuipment to be purchased as wellas any amount in excessof the maximumgrant amount as eQui9'contribution.

Where Do We Submit the Accomplished NCPP Form-A and NecessaryDocuments?
Applicants shall submit their application form together with the reQuired
documents personal!y to the Philippine Ozone Desk NCPP ProjectManagement Unit or any EMB Regional Office or DENR - Provincial
Environment & Natural ResourcesOffice (PENRO) nearestyou.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
a. The service shop/grantee shall be DTI-accredited within three (3)months after the delivery of eQuipment.
b. The service shop/grantee shall abide by the Code of Practice forRefrigeration and Air Conditioning:
c. The service shop/grantee is prohibited from all forms of disposing.lending. leasing. or altering eQuipment financed by the grant andshould be available for inspection within a period of five (5)years;
d. All 'tools and eQuipmentand pertinent Records/documents shouldbe made available to authorized personnel of the DENR-EMB orits deputized representative for monitoring purposes.
