Important for the selection of a maintenance switch is the coordination of the application conditions: ▪ connection power

from unauthorized machine switching on. The devices are lockable in zero position with up to three padlocks.

The nW-series has proven itself for decades under extreme environ-mental conditions in cement factories, in belt drives, as travel limit switches in the crane area and everywhere where a rugged, durable switch is required.

The maintenance switch is a capsuled rotary switch assembly for a single electric drive arrangement. If the classification of a drive arran-gement and the master switch is not easily recognizable, an additional maintenance switch is required for every drive arrangement. Main-tenance switches are attached to electric machines or constructions to enable safe maintenance work under observance of safety rules. By hanging the padlock on the cover plate, every employee is protected

Load shedding: When switching on, at first the power contacts close, then the control system for the motor contactor is released via the following closing contact. When switching off, the leading contact at first turns off the motor contactor and then the main contacts cut off the supply line of the motor.

The nW-series comprises three robust cam switches staggered by swit-ching power. A massive knob, form-fitting attached to the square shaft with metal lined milled cams, controls in double contact elements em-bedded positively opening switch contacts. Moreover spacious dimensi-oned ceramical arc chambers with dejon-sheets, strong blow magnets and a large-open contact way ensure a safe switching. For the various operating conditions we deliver switching devices with different num-

bers of poles, suitable for currents from 16 A to 100 A. Auxiliary contacts, also inductive proximity switches, can be installed as required. The swit-ches are installed in spaciously silumin or steel-sheet housings with pro-tection category IP54. Additional control devices, monitoring units and series terminals can be put into the shift case by request. drill holes for cable inlets will be made as requested.
