All excursions are on Tuesday, March 10th. NANOS GOLF TOURNAMENT** - $80 for 9 holes; $129 for 18 holes 1:15 pm shotgun start. Join your NANOS colleagues for a Scramble on the Oak Marsh Golf Course organized by Dr. Grant Liu. The Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye-designed golf courses in the world. The course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, me- andering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. At par 72, this 6,500-yard course has 14 holes with water hazards and numerous bulk-headed greens. There will be contests and prizes. Fee includes golf, cart, and prizes. Resort transportation is available to/from the golf course. Rental clubs are available ($35 for 9-holes with one sleeve of golf balls; $65 for 18-holes with two sleeves of golf balls). Our coached orientation is followed by a tour through the property that travels along our novice-level bike paths to Drummond Point Park. Children must be ac- companied by an adult. As we navigate through the waterways of Cumberland Island, you’ll be treated to a close-up view of what’s left of the Dungeness mansion ruins. This tour is a nice blend of history and nature, including a trip up Beach Creek with a beautiful view of the salt marshes and bird life of Cumberland Island.
