The robust central brake of AZORES PREMIOchassis with toothed rack offers security andspeed in the process of loading and unloading.The joint allows an independent movement ofthe tractor and the trailer without twisting ofthe frame and provides the required oscillationfor a good contact with the ground in difficultoperating conditions.

The high position of the joint near the centerof gravity of the load, improves stability andensures a good ground clearance to get aunique mobility, both in difficult maneuvers inthe forest as during transportation by forestroads.

The new frame is divided, is strong, impact-resistantand has good ability to overcome obstacles. The castinghas V-shaped on the inside and the bogie is integratedinto the frame.

For the exigent work of wood transportation by forestryroads, the chassis must be adaptable to different woodtypes with different densities and lengths, durableenough to withstand the hard work on the forest andthe light enough to save fuel. Also the least number ofparts to speed up its production making easier itsmaintenance. TransportIt is not difficult to create a semi-trailer which can do any work;the key is to design a semitrailer for transportation of woodwhich can do it economically. TOIMIL used materials andtechnologies that offer maximum efficiency in weight and thereforethe load capacity. The HTG 363 chassis bodywork with floor orsteel forestry bunks, equipped with a Toimil forestry craneremovable, provides full possibilities serving the greater efficiency,security and profitability in wood transportation operations.

Loading trunks with a hydraulic crane becomes a really fastprocess. “A skilled operator may load a 70m3 track of pulpwoodin 40 minutes” assures Abel Rodrigues – general manger ofRODANAIS TRANSPORTES LDA , owing several platforms withToimil crane T-7650.

The hydraulic crane is probably the most important innovationof all time for the forestry industry. With its appearance, completelydifferent conditions were created for a fast and efficient woodhandling.

There are two different loading methods, both based on theuse of hydraulic cranes:

1. Crane mounted at vehicles or semi-trailers (fixed).2. Crane mounted at vehicles or semi-trailers(removable).

A crane mounted in a vehicle ( fixed ) is transportedby it permanently, weather vehicle is loaded or empty.This reduce the useful trailer load from 1.8 to 2.3tons ,equivalent to the crane weight .However, theToiml modern cranes may be easily removable, whichis an advantage when it comes to making severaltrips from the same collection point. The fixed craneon vehicle will always be a better choice when loadingoperation are small quantities and at different locations.

USA continuous leading the urban waste production with almost 621.000tons daily, thought Chine is getting closer on second position withapproximately 521.00 tons.

Urban growth and increasing prosperity could double the volume of urbansolid waste generated by the year 2025, a challenge environmental andmanagement of public health for the cities of the world, according to anew report by the Worldwatch Institute. TOIMIL is aware of the enormoussize of this market and provides solutions for the management of wasteused in many cities worldwide.

Although some of these residues are eventually recycled, current forecastsindicate that the volume of urban solid waste could pass from the current1.300 millions of tons to 2.600 millions. The urban waste is composedof organic matter, paper, plastic, glass, metals and other residues mainlyfrom homes, offices, institutions and commercial shops. It is a subsetwithin a universe of waste and usually does not include the collectedoutside scope of municipal services.

Waste generation tends to be much higher in the richest regions of theworld. Members of “Organización para la Cooperación Económica y elDesarrollo” (OCDE), integrated by 34 industrialized countries, are leadingthe urban waste production with 1.600 millions of tons daily. On the otherhand, the Sub-Saharan Africa produces less than one-eighth part, around200 million tons daily.

The list of the ten countries with the largest generation of waste includesfour nations in developing (Brazil,China,India and Mexico), partly due tothe size of their urban populations and in part because the standard ofliving is growing, resulting in a rapid increase of consumption. AlthoughUSA has the dubious honor of leading this world ranking with around621.00 tons daily, with China at second ranking position with around521.000 tons daily. We start from a chassis standardized 13 ton IVECO EUROCARGO,with tires and height from the ground for jobs off-road, which asuperstructure assembled along with designed equipment to workon new power lines, telephone lines, or in the maintenance ofexisting distribution networks. Crane model 100/2S installed onEurocargo equipped with different accessories (like a strong drillingwith different diameters to open holes and a basket operator-carrier for aerial works.), result highly efficient due the softmovements and easy handling. The modular crane design allowus choose among different works configurations in few minutes,proving very easy for the operator to convert crane into an aerialplatform or a powerful drill, having several machines with the costof using only one . This solution allows significant savings in capital,technical service and costs of exploitation for the company.

Representatives of Ponsse OY (Finland) and Ponsse OOO(Russia) visited our facilities in Prado , carrying outfew didactic chats about the particular characteristicsof the Spanish forest market , develop of variousapplications for the exploitation of wood and currentlyPonsse role in this area.

This type of fraternization sessions aim to share commonexperiences within the same sector of business andcan assess at the same time the notable differences interms of logging, depending on the geographical realityof each country and its own industry.
