Mythology Project Due: Tuesday, January 20 Part A: Create a presentation on Mythology in Advertisement. Go through magazines, websites, etc. and pick out ads that relate to mythology. For example, Nike for the goddess Nike. After examining several advertisements, locate a company whose logo comes from mythology and research that company. Find out all you can about the company, why the company chose their name, e.g. Apollo Heating, or how they came to choose their logo, e.g. Pegasus for Mobil. Part B: After you have selected an advertisement and a company, then create a presentation where you share your findings on the company, as well as expressing your knowledge of mythology. This satisfies the famous question: when will we need to use this in real life? Part C: Lastly, create an advertisement for the company you have chosen. You may prerecord a commercial or bring in a poster/ad. It must be creative and intriguing to the eye. Must display characteristics of myths.
