    farmers from large owner and corporations

    Faced 7 coups and coup attempts as well as

    various natural disasters. Won many honors and awards, but did not win a

    Nobel Peace Prize

    Even after stepping down from the

    presidency, Cory Aquino remained active

    in helping nurture the fragile Philippine

    democracy that was restored during herterm.

    Largely through the Benigno S. Aquino,

    empowerment, peace and human rights.

    Responsible- She took hold of the

    responsibility of her husband which led

    her to become an icon that many wanted

    to follow.

    Courageous- She stood up for the

    Filipinos even if it defiles Ferdinand

    Marcos who had the power to kill her.

    Simplicity- She was just a simple woman.

    She did not take advantage of her

    Presidency.

    Sincerity- She was sincere in leading the

    Filipinos into a better life. She did not

    give in to the temptations of a president.

    She had made me realize that though

    you had experienced grief, you should

    still continue on fighting for whats right.

    Always do what you can do, not just for

    fame, but also for the benefit of the

    country.

    Even if she was a woman, she proved

    that she could be as good as any man

    could be.
