Project Information

This overall objective of this project is to provide MWV with ERP AS-IS business requirement gathering services of 5 ERP systems (BPCS, BAAN, PCAS, Cabbell, JDE) in 7 locations for the Folding Carton Operations (FCO) in North American and Europe.

The result of this requirement gathering activity will form the foundation for a technical and functional evaluation of an industry-specific ERP solution for the Folding Carton Operations at MWV.


Approach

• Identify and validate functions currently supported by the existing ERP solutions in the various locations

• Identify and validate any bolt-on applications or manual processes in support of existing ERP business functions

• Identify required interfaces in support of existing business functions

• Identify commonality in processes across business locations and the global platform

• Identify all stakeholders involved in functional processes

Things to Know

• ERP Project: Please don’t use SAP terminology

• All business resources don’t know the big picture

• Skill set of the business resource will vary greatly

• Baseline Yourself of the template provided to you. Complete As much as possible.

• Custom Processes Needs to be mapped and plotted into a Business Requirements Document

• No Solution design

• Context diagram need to be developed for each site

In order to accomplish the above activities the following activities will be carried out

• Interviews – Business users, Business Process Owners and stakeholders (business will organize)

• ERP System AS IS Functional analysis• Final Review and consolidation

Roles and Responsibilities

FICO Consultant

• Responsible for local scheduling from project manager capacity

• Will handle FICO+ Compliance+ RICEF + Cross Functions + Any misc functions

• Provide Consolidated deliverables from each site• Daily Project status Email-End of the day

• Workshops conducted• Red flags Issues• Accomplishments

• Weekly Project update (Template attached-Submitted Thursday COB)

• All areas under Logistics will be under the purview of the Logistics Consultant: MM,SD,PM,PP,WM and Custom Processes for this area

• Help the FI Consultant build the client deliverables for the site
