Since then, she has become involved in the performance and divulgation of Bra-zilian classical music for piano. In 2019 she is working intensively on the com-poser Cacilda Borges Barbosa’s output, specifically the critical edition of her method Ritmoplastia and the recording of her works for piano.

Who should apply?
Open to students entering grades 2 through 9, with at least one year of
piano study. Groups are determined by age and skill level.
Leticia Lima, instructor
Ms. Lima is originally from Rio de Janei-ro, Brazil. She is a per-manent piano faculty at the Rio de Janeiro Federal University in Brazil. She has also taught choir and mu-sic appreciation in un-derprivileged areas of Rio de Janeiro as a way of awakening
children’s desire to pursue a better qual-ity of life through music. Currently she is finishing her doctoral studies in Collabo-rative Piano at University of Houston under the supervision of pianist and professor Timothy Hester. She is now worship director at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in Cypress and piano instructor at University of St. Thomas – Music Pre-paratory School.
In 2003, she received first prize in the piano competition "Abraão Calil Neto" in homage to the Brazilian composer Al-meida Prado, in Brazil.
