•The images look as if they are very untidy (skewed and stacked on top of each other) which ties in with

the magazine’s style, which is a bit more aggressive than NME, but not as hellish as Kerrang or Metal

Hammer.

•This contents page is different to the NME and Q magazines, it is a double page spread, but the first page is a single image of a scary looking person. This consists with the

hellish style of the magazine, his red clothes are more interesting and the black mask suggests that this magazine ‘is not for the weak hearted.’ The dark colours used also show that this isn’t a pleasant

magazine, it is easily identified with people who like heavy metal.

•Like Q magazine, Metal Hammer uses the same style by having the lead article’s picture as the largest.•Like every music magazine the contents page has page numbers to help the reader locate each article. They are also shown next to every article image.
