I was looking around for copyright free music that would fit for my title sequence. After about ten minuets I remembered that YouTube offer copyright free material and I looked into if that included music. Luckily it did so I now have five potential songs that could work along side the footage.

Now I need to decide witch song suits best so I can implement it with the footage. I need to make sure the music is appropriate to the genre. Thats why all of the five songs are categorized as ether dramatic or calm.

This song reminds me of a Rain Man/The Breakfast Club. But more of like a morning type situation. A scene of Tom Cruise getting out of bed. Its also got this ladder vibe. The notes of the music seem to get higher as the song progress. This could be good for internal viewing/Mise en scene. Because the film narrative puts the characters in a better situation than they were are the start of the film.

This defiantly gives me the feeling of a early morning. I'm not sure about it though because it gives me the feeling of disorientation. Sort of like loss of personality. Witch, internally, is not what I'm going for and I dont want the viewer feeling that in the title sequence. However the song does illustrate a morning type feel and its very present to listen to so it wouldn'tt avoid the viewers attention from the footage or titles.

Now I've listened to this song a couple of times I dont think it would work at all. Sounds like a sad symphony for a post dramatic scene witch is not what I am going for. I want relaxed/calm mellow tones. That will work with the footage in a sort of edited dance, so it flows.

So far this is my favorite as it hits all my category's for the title sequence. The song is self is a calm rock melody which is now commonly in the current charts. This means it would appeal to both younger and older audiences. The melody feels raw/organic, it feels like free spirit and that is what I want. This will hopefully categories the film in the title sequence so if this were to be made a film, people would be able to tell what type of film it could be in the first 30 seconds in the title sequence. So I'm trying to cram as much subliminal information without overdoing it so that the titles appear obsolete. I will still try the Always Hopeful song when it comes to editing but I have my mind set on the Sky song.
