An excellent buffet meal was prepared by the catering team
Peter Harper was master of ceremonies for the occasion. The minister, Andrew Atkins, appears to have been given the washing up to do.Fred & Muriels son, Clive, came over from Vancouver for the occasion and made a speech.
Fred gave a speech of thanks on Muriels behalf, and she cut the birthday cake.
Fred, Muriel and Clive
Irving Theaker amused everyone with jokes and reminiscences, and Pat Brooke reprised her priceless, spirited performance of Nobody loves a fairy when shes old
The grand finale to a delightful evening was the performance of music of Muriels younger years by Rebecca Todd on trumpet and flugel horn and David Wilks on pianoFred enjoyed the entertainment, as did we all.
