Vacuum Progress Since Oct 6th (Last Quarter)
• Found “Short” on Lead Can• Cryo Platform installed with Dewer• ALL Cryostat Insulating Vacuum is Leak Check Certified!• Pressure tested Nitrogen & Helium Circuits • Removed AD Cryo Test Box (Frig check out complete)• Indium Resistance Measurements (Bolts tightened)• “Cold Leak” Found: Electrical Isolators on Interconnects
replaced – Leak Checked OK– Isolators on Lean Can (6) Inspected, – Will be replaced when parts arrive– Isolators on hairpin not accessible
3
Magnet Progress Since Oct 6th (Last Quarter)
• Installed Top Yoke! – All Yoke Vertically & Radially aligned– Horizontal ear shims installed, but bolts are still loose (pole
alignment)– Steel “make-up” plates installed
• All 3 Cryostats Shimmed, Vertically & Radially aligned, and bolted & pinned in place– Support of Inner Upper coil transferred to upper yoke– Jack bolts removed from Outer Coil– Push Rods installed– Transport radial stops replaced – All strain gauges repaired or documented
• Poles are clean! – Ready to Install
4
Electrical Progress Since Oct 6th (Last Quarter)
• Waterfall support structure & cable tray Installed• Ring Cable Tray Installed• Dump resistor mounted on roof (cables go outside)• Bruckner PS fully checked out & Installed in Hall
– Connected to building Power
• Dump Trip Cabinet Installed & connected to PS• Quench Protection Rack rebuilt & Installed in Hall• Electrical Grounding Infrastructure mostly in place

The MC-1 Building
• Door Locks / Card readers installation
• Need Training to enter• Mezzanine has a
Source box• All Phones installed
– Ctrl Rm = xMuon
• Internet in MC-1
• G-2 Hall is Now ODH Ø– No additional training is
necessary– If alarms go off, Leave.
• If using a ladder on Cryo platform use fall
protection tie-offs
