An Update - 2012 Graduates

…..Donisha Brewer, is working on getting into the forensic psychology program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

She is currently the coordinator of the 4-H Youth Program Creative and Expressive Arts day camp, in Calhoun County. She sug-

gests that incoming students “find their passion...never loose sight of their passion...and stay focused on what it takes to incorporate

that passion into their future in order to become successful and happy.”

….Laura Burnett will begin her Masters degree in May of 2013. She is currently working with the University of Florida Gators

Athletics Program. Her words of wisdom: “Don’t let life’s obstacles define you, let them create you. Also, hang on to the ones

who support you, they will become your family and nothing is more important. Live in the moment and enjoy!

….Ashley Alexandria Falcon, has decided to postpone her Masters for a year while she goes to Colombia to teach English. Her

advice to students entering college this fall is: “enjoy your first year and get settled in with student life. You will want those times

to meet new friends, find things you like to do, organizations or even discover your major.”

….Aisha Ellis Gordon, is contemplating starting her Masters at either Wayne State or Grand Valley University. She is currently

employed at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan, at the corporate office in supply chain management. She has these

words of wisdom for incoming students: “turn every stumbling block into a learning curve.”

….Troy Johnson currently works at Kroger and will begin working for Momentous. He has not yet decided when he will pursue a

Masters Degree program. His advice to incoming students is: “to Stay focused, find and set a goal, and continue to strive for that

goal. No matter what, keep pushing to the end because it will pay off in the end.”

….Tim Peoples, has a full ride to Yale Divinity School in New Jersey. His words of wisdom to incoming students is: “Never take

anything lightly that people do for you because that one small thing that they do could be the thing that changes your entire life."

….Jason Ransom, will attend Bowling Green University to obtain a Masters in Music/Jazz Studies. His advise to this year’s first-

time-in-college students is: “college life WILL be a life changing experience and a test of character, both good and bad, but if you

remember this simple verse and believe it, you will come out on top... Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ that

strengthens me."
